Persistence: A Vital Tool For Success
I have been working to put my webpage up following some of the setup training and for days now I have been trying to figure out how to add a link to my site. After going through countless YouTube videos and related training I could find, I still could not figure it out, sounds unbelievable? Well believe it. Anyway, yesterday, I decided to take my case further by asking around in the open chat. And just as expected people were willing to help and they pointed me in the right direction. Guess what, I still did not get it.
But funny enough, good information on other things were coming up and I was getting to learn things I did not have to go read up along the line, things more complicated than what I was looking for answer to. Today, I decided to watch what was going on at the chat room as I was feeling uncomfortable to ask the same question after all the help I got yesterday. So there I was watching and hoping someone will pose the same question. In response to a question, someone placed the link to his website on the open chat and out of interest I took a look at the site and found that he has links on the side of his page. Swallowing my pride, I asked how he did and now the rest is history.
The point am trying to make here is that sometimes the simplest things can elude us and we feel uncomfortable asking others for help or give up trying after a few trials. If we truly want to succeed we can not afford to give up on every little road block. Who can believe that something as simple ( I can boldly say that now) as inserting a link on a website can take such long time, explaining and reading to understand. I do feel uncomfortable admitting it now but the fact remain that sometimes while going through a learning process the simplest thing might be the most difficult to grasps and the only way to finally understand is by being persistent.
So to all you newbie out there, do not be afraid to ask when you are stock on something as the answer to your questions might be what you need to get to the next level in your training.
To all those whose we patient with my questioning and did their best to help me through, I say a very big THANK YOU.

Always feel free to ask any question in chat. That is what it is for and someone will point you in the right direction :)
Hey Railu. Never, ever feel uncomfortable about asking the same question as many times and to as many different people as necessary until you've grasped what you need to progress. When I first joined and was working my way through 30 Day Success Club it took me several days to work out that a keyword could be more than one word! I'm confident that the majority of Members in chat never object to explaining and re-explaining if necessary to someone who is genuinely committed and wants to learn. I certainly don't. I always feel that if someone doesn't "get" my response that reflects more on the poor quality of my explanation than anything else. Also, never forget that as a premium Member you can always PM individuals for help if you get stuck. I do that. A lot! :)
Hello Rich. Good to have you back and thank you for the words of encouragement and advice. WA is blessed with a community of people who are happy to help others in succeeding but sometime when you are the one asking for help, you kind of feel bad when people are doing their best to assist and you seem not get it. But like you said, it is necessary to understand so as to progress and that is why I thought I should post this blog just to encourage others who might find themselves in the same situation not to give up asking until they find a answer. Hope to see you around in the open chat. Take care.
Hello Joel. Welcome to WA and thank you for the follow.

This is a good place to begin your learning and if you need any clarification, do let me know. Hope this is helpful. Take care
Hi - We all have to start somewhere and in order to understand the basics which might make one feel inferior only makes the experience more complex and fustrating - this is why we join WA to learn as much as we can and find the answers to every question asked. Experience is the best thing to have and share. Just ask the experienced people as this is what this Educational Platform is about. The Key thing to take on board is this : QUESTIONS ARE THE ANSWERS - It was good of you to post this as it will make other Newbies more comfortable - Colin
Hello Colin, Thank you for your comment. Most time the start is always the hardest part of a process, but because it is called BASICS, we tend to overlook its importance. The frustration that comes with not wanting to feel inferior yet still stock in ignorance make a lot of people fall by the roadside, but in wanting to achieve success, it becomes imperative to try to overcome such frustration and push forward.

Railu I am reading your post smiling and shaking my head. I can so relate to what you are saying. Sometimes it takes a few attempts and coaching from a few different people before you get it. That's okay we all learn at our own pace. When I first started at WA the chat was not available. Like you mentioned if you want to shorten your learning curve hop in the chat.

Lol. Thank you for your comment and the follow, You are so right. People learn from different ways and methods and sometimes even when it is so obvious, you just dont get it. One just have to strive for the understanding, expecially, if it is vital to move on.
