Hello I would like to know how to successfully build an email list and keep those subscribers. I've heard that list building is one of the most important things that will help you
Thanks everyone I'll definitely check those out. Since I'm going through the affiliate bootcamp and promoting WA on my website, I want readers to be able to opt in on a landing page so I can communicate with them.
This is the best training I've seen for starting off email marketing. Jay also takes you through the pros and cons of some auto responders. Email Marketing Walkthrough
You can use a program like MailChimp ( a plug-in) that is easily accessible but not so much for emailing affiliates. If you're just looking for a newsletter MailChimp is your best bet. There is also other wonderful plug-ins and options like madmini.com

I've received my first coment the other day and after I approved it, I went to take a look at on my website and I saw this text under the name of the person who posted the comme
Can you add a link to your website (you don't have any listed on your profile) so I can see what you're seeing. ~Marion

That text is under every comment. Did you edit your theme in any way? If so then the best way to get rid of the unwanted text is to activate a different theme and then re-activate your chosen theme. You may find this training helpful: Choose a New Theme
No I didn't edit my theme. I left it the same while I was building the site and creating content. Thanks I'll try that and see if it gets rid of the text.
I just activated another theme and then re-activated the theme that I previously had and the text is still there. I tried going in Editor and looking at the code but I don't see the text in it. Should I just choose a new theme altogether?
If you go into comments at the bottom of the comment where you approve it there is an edit button click into that and I think you can edit it there. hope this helps

Thanks for the feedback guys! I've already started making some of the changes that you guys suggested. Hopefully I'll start to see comments coming in soon.
Hi Melanie, you did a great job on your first website and its very clean with a lot of good information. You have some good suggestions below that will help you. Keep up the good work!
great site Melanie. Nice clean and simple. Portrays the content nicely opposed to flashy imagery. My suggestion would be to lose the meta stuff in your sidebar, ditch the "powered by wordpress" link in the footer and you seem to have 2 search bars so you can lose one of those.
I love it Melanie, you've done a really good job. The only suggestion I have is to add a favicon, that's the small image which goes on the browser tab. The Captain Favicon plugin will do it for you. :)
