Accountability
How many times in your life have you set an intention to break a habit or begin a new one that resulted in giving up? Did you find that you started out with a lot of enthusiasm that fizzled shortly after? How many memberships have you begun, stopped using, but continued to pay for because you wanted to believe that you would follow through this time?
There has to be a way to break through this, right? Would you like to know what I did to end this pattern and begin to consistently let go of habits and thoughts that didn’t serve me and incorporate new ones that did? If yes, keep reading…
While this pattern may be frustrating, it comes with great news: You have already made the choice to improve your situation, circumstances, and experiences!!
It is easy to get discouraged and after years or decades of trying, many give up and just accept their lot in life. Even when this happens, the urge to do better comes back and the energy for more effort comes with it.
Most people, when they feel this urge, look for a different way to do it this time. If the focus is weight, the may seek out a new diet or exercise regimen. Those looking to further their career might take a new course or venture into entrepreneurship. Whatever the area is, you will be able to find a plethora of books, classes, fads, gurus, and advice from friends, family, and strangers. These methods will come with an array of success stories and testimonials from people just like you, and you believe it will work for you this time…until it doesn’t any longer.
You aren’t alone in this struggle. I also experienced this pattern throughout much of my life. I set (and broke) more New Year’s resolutions than I care to recall. If I had kept all of the gym membership cards I’d be able to make a decent sized collage. I’m aware of and have tried many different diets as my weight yo-yoed up and down. Don’t even get me started on self-help books XD!
Yes, I did receive positive results from time to time, but rarely did any last. This pattern turned out to be rather insidious, however, because as years went by my quality of life lessened. You may be experiencing this effect too, and that’s ok. The urge to improve keeps coming back. No matter how low I felt or how long I stayed there, that always came back.
Finally, my awareness rose to see part of the formula I had been missing. As this awareness grew, I began to dig deeper and deeper into it. I admit, I was reluctant to accept and ply it at first because it went against my stubborn personality. Ah, but once I plied it…my life took off in the most wonderful way!
Now, I consistently break habits and patterns of thought that work against me. Once I identify a behavior to incorporate regularly, I know that it will be a lasting habit and will continue to work for me for as long as I choose. My outlook on life is one of assured abundance and I envision possibilities that weren’t imaginable by me before.
The one main mistake I made was I didn’t love myself enough to hold me accountable to do what I knew I should. Once I accepted this responsibility my whole world began to change. This happened slowly at first, but consistently remaining accountable to me produced magnificent results. It doesn’t matter how long it takes as long as it does happen.
You don’t have to do this alone. In fact, most of us have a deep drive to lead an extraordinary life. I discovered that partnering with others that are actively putting in the effort to change their results accelerated my own successes. It is much easier to hold ourselves accountable to do what we know is best for us when we are also cheering on and encouraging others as they strive to hold themselves accountable. We become more and more inspired as we listen to success stories being shared with us. The most wonderful thing about this experience, I find, is that it feels like going to the park and playing like children with all of your friends!
This is why I have created the Transcen3D Accountability Partner membership program for all of us to have a space where we can meet to support and encourage each other to step onto our highest path and fulfill our greatest purpose. You are invited to join us when you are ready to make your own breakthroughs and own the responsibility of holding yourself accountable. There is no monetary cost for this program, though the results you get will be directly related to effort you put into it. We operate this on donations alone because we feel that everyone deserves the opportunity to successfully change their lives for the better.

Until I decided to make a change, to accept the responsibility, nothing was ever going to change for me. I could go on and write an entire book on accountability, but it is not for me to write. This is your book to write and choose the experiences you desire to have. Are you ready to become the author of your own life?

You are right you have to become aware of what is holding you back. Accept that the ultimate responsibility to make a change is YOU. Take action reinforcing what works and throwing out what does not. This way you go forward with a positive mindset and a supportive community.
All the best,
Hugh
