It is exciting to meet fellow WA in your travels
The Wealthy Affiliate is an online teaching platform that is geared to affiliate marketing that caters to both beginners and seasoned marketers in helping build successful online businesses. Through the community blogging that transpires constantly, it is amazing how friendships are built through the constant exchange of comments and ideas. Our very own Wealthy Affiliate platform has not only served to be a resource for training, but became a medium for inspiring, motivating, and sometimes even became a therapy for some.
It has become a haven for interaction through forums, live chats, private messaging, seeking answers, providing assistance, sharing nsights, looking for solutions. The thing that made Wealthy Affiliate stand out among other similar platforms is its supportive community. Thus it would not be a wonder if friendships are formed.
As part of my travel to the Philippines, I am so delighted to share another unbelievably fascinating experience. One of our members, Joyce Easton reached out and requested that we meet. Though my schedule was very hectic as my flights got changed and rebooked unexpectedly, I was surprised that those changes favored our meeting. It is a rare occasion that WA members had a personal social encounter.
Joyce Easton and I met in Buffet 101 in Cebu City, for the first time. This is unbelievably surprising as we never really had an interaction anywhere in WA before this meeting. Mel was supposed to be with us but he was not feeling well that time. He was instrumental in making this happen as he reached out to Joyce and me. The meeting was a bit emotional, as we were both thrilled that it happened. And amazingly, the interaction seemed like we both knew each other when in fact, that was the first meeting.
I was with my sister and my niece and we all had lunch together.
Joyce brought me some fresh Cebu mango, that was delightfully accepted.
We paraded the aisle of the restaurant as if we were long-time friends, choosing similar food preferences, as we hop from soup to seafood to meat to pasta to the delectable desserts, and concluded our meal with a delicious cup of espresso to help our digestive system process the enormous gustatory delights we manage to take in in our 2- hour long lunch.
As every good thing must come to an end, we completed that joyous meeting with a tight hug, simply expressing “It was such a pleasure and an honor to have met a WA member that had instantly became my friend “

is so "Awesome", That had to be one Super experience

What was fascinating was that Joyce and I had never had any interaction in our WA community.
Mel arranged for the 3 of us to meet. But Mel couldn’t make it . And when Joyce and I met, it was like meeting an older old friend! We instantly bonded!
I have just about 2 days to enjoy the warm weather and be confronted with blustery weather conditions in PA!

It was a truly memorable meeting Nickster!
Firstly, few hours before I fly to Cebu, my flight got cancelled while I was in transit from our Medical Mission to Manila. Some events changed, some people had to re-schedule. Even up to the last minute, we’re not sure if the meeting would happen.
When it did took place, we were both thrilled! Mel couldn’t make it though! He was not well enough to meet with us!
You are right on the weather! I shall be experiencing extremes of weather conditions! 😤😰🥶

This is the greatest part of being part of a vast community. We all have at least one thing in common. I am so glad that you had the opportunity to meet and enjoy each other's company.
Unfortunately, we rarely step out of our zone. Where we are so insulated from people behind our online presence, that very few people look up.
When we do, great things happen. This should be the goal of everyone here. Whenever we travel anywhere, who is there? Take an afternoon and do lunch, talk about what brought you to this point, what works for you, and what doesn't.
Congratulations on connecting outside of WA. This is an awesome post.
