All Things Change!

Nothing in life stays the same ~ all things change! At the very core of life is the fact that things change. This fact can be variously viewed as both positive and negative. Like most of us, I have wished for the known, the changeless, the predictable. We grapple for permanence. But in order for growth to take place, change should be embraced.

Imagine a tiny seed, and how it turns into a tall plant. As all things change and transform into something much bigger and different. As change is a natural part of life. Even the smallest changes can lead to something big. While it holds the promise of a big plant, it won’t become a giant overnight. It takes time. The seed slowly forms roots, then a small sprout, then gradually inches upwards. This slow and steady pace is how most change happens in life.

Think about learning a new skill. You might not master it perfectly on the first try. It takes practice, a bit each day, to improve and become comfortable. With consistent effort, and trust the transformation, it would bring the change.

So while many things change slowly, some things can zoom by. It’s important to stay curious and open-minded to catch these quick shifts and adapt to the new situation they bring. Think about technology, our way of communicating had switched so rapidly from handwritten letters to instant messaging in just a few decades.

Even nature can surprise us with speedy changes. A sudden downpour can transform a dry field into a muddy puddle in minutes. Imagine watching a cloud. One moment it’s a fluffy shape, the next it stretches long and thin.

However, change can also be unexpected. In a blink of an eye, something can completely change.

Change is not only inevitable, it is also a blessing ~ if often in disguise. This simply means things will change, no matter what, as it’s a part of life’s journey. But by embracing the doors to exciting possibilities, we can discover the hidden blessings that change often brings, even if it takes time to see them.
