How to Learn Affiliate Marketing for Beginners

Well, chances are that you were either searching on your own and this article came up, or you have clicked the link from my blog post about how to learn Affiliate Marketing and where to start.

Either way - Congratulations! You're here!

As a beginner, you're in the best place to learn the "How To's" in Affiliate Marketing. Last year alone, Wealthy Affiliate helped over 217,000 members start their Affiliate Marketing business, and they are just a small fraction of the 2.8 billion (and growing) buyers online. So, you are definitely in the right place to start your own affiliate marketing business and doing what you love. And, there's no better time!

Here's a brief overview for beginners:

First, and foremost, you will need to create your Free account by clicking on this link:

http://www.wealthyaffiliate.com and filling out your info.

Once that's done, you literally begin learning the "How to's" by clicking on the Green "Get Started" button in the upper left hand corner menu.

Next, you'll be choosing a niche.

So - What is a niche?

Well, a niche is a topic of interest, and for your first blog, it should be something that interests you. It is something that you're passionate about, something that you can write easily about. For some people, it may involve teaching others or helping others learn something. For others, it may involve just sharing something they are passionate about, and hope that readers will be too. It can be gardening, cooking, dancing, or photography. The list of niches is endless!

Once you choose your niche, you will be deciding whether to use a free SiteRubix sub-domain or purchase a domain name. You can always begin using the two Free SiteRubix sub-domains, and you can transfer your content later if you wish.

Next, you'll then begin to set up your web-site. But, not to worry! No experience is necessary!

The courses and lessons here at Wealthy Affiliate are designed for those who are new to this whole concept. Here, you'll learn a lot about domains, websites, hosting, and using WordPress. It's all laid out in the step-by-step process, and you can proceed at your own pace.

Set Some Goals:

Once your web-site is all set up, you'll be sharing goals with the members here at Wealthy Affiliate.

The goals you'll outline will be both financial goals as well as non-financial goals. The point of this exercise is to get you used to writing down your goals and working toward achieving them. And, if you follow each lesson accordingly, you will achieve many, if not all.

Comments v. Feedback:

At some point, you will also be sharing your content, asking for comments, and asking for feedback.

For many newbies, this can be a little confusing, so allow me to distinguish between the two:

Comments are reserved for your blog site only. As you begin to use the "give and take comment thread," you will be both giving comments on other member's sites, and receiving comments on your blog site. This helps assure Google that each of you have a real site, and that you have actual and very real people interested in what you are writing about on your blog.

As for feedback, these types of statements are reserved for the members of Wealthy Affiliate only, and you'll be leaving feedback about other member's sites within the WA forum when you come across a request and wish to respond. After reviewing a member's post, your feedback may consist of statements such as, "Great site, and good use of pictures," "you have many grammatical and/or spelling errors," or "you could use a few pictures, you should center the picture, or make the font bigger," etc. These are examples of either praise - for a very good site, or "constructive criticism" to help other member's sites be more readable, more enticing, and generally better to keep the site's readers engaged.

Every time you ask for either comments or feedback, members will either leave a valid and relevant comment or two on your blog site, leave feedback here on WA on how you can improve your blog site, or both.

Questions / Concerns?

The rest is pretty simple - really. Every time you have a question or even if you get stuck on a lesson, all you need to do is ask. You can either type your question into the top search box to try to find a previous response on the issue, or you can just post your question under the lesson you're on at the time.

You may also go into the Live Chat room that is available 24/7/365. There are usually members there chatting away, and if the discussion is just small talk, feel free to chime in with your problem or concern. Members are there for that purpose, and are willing to lend you a hand.

If you're trying out Wealthy Affiliate for the first time, and you are using the first week to determine whether to join, you should try to get through all ten lessons of both the Get Started Certificate Program as well as the first ten lessons in the Bootcamp. You will have access to all twenty lessons to help you make your decision by the end of that first week. Simple - Right?
