Matching keywords to content
Here i am, more than halfway through my work day. With a little gentle nudge from the owner, Kyle I have been working today entirely on my keywords. I'm not entirely stupid, but there are times when my duh moments kick in overdrive and I have been avoiding keywords from the start, knowing that It had to get done sooner or later.
I have discovered though that I actually enjoyed doing it and it was easier than I thought. I had already created the content in my websites, and for some "dumb" reason I was thinking that I would have to rewrite my website content to include the keywords that i find. That was my duh moment.
My "Ah Ha" moment, as Eddy with a Y :) likes to put it, was when I discovered that I could pick and choose keywords and even phrases that are already written on my pages and posts and see what kind of traffic they generate through the keyword tools like Jaaxy and the keyword tool provided here in WA. I was so happy to see my website popping up in the search engines afterwards.
I hope today I have overcome those duh moments when it comes to the creation and the placement of keywords in my website. I have taken it one step further today to include the same for my advertisements. I only place free advertisements on as many sites as I can find and most of them ask for keywords. My other Ah Ha moment came today when I realized that including the same keywords I use in the website will give me a double whammy for exposure. I took it even further with my blogs and turned those keywords into tags.
Yes... I believe today was a good day! I hope it helps you out if you are having any of the same apprehensions about putting keywords in your content. Maybe I'm wrong.. maybe not.. but I do recommend letting your words flow as you write the articles without any worries about the keywords. Then taking certain and relevant phrases that are already written in your content and make them keywords. Then apply those keywords to your advertisement content. Make sense? I hope so!
