Bloggers Have Morrígan Moments Too

If you’ve been blogging for any length of time, I know that you have already had a Morrígan Moment (or two). But most people just didn’t have a name for it. Other than that, Ah-Ha Moment, or when the Lightbulb came on.

This sensation is called a Morrigan Moment.

I'm not going to go to deep into mythology, other than to say, Morrígan never appeared in the same form twice. She arrived as maiden, wolf, eel, crow, or crone — whatever the moment didn’t expect. She didn’t rewrite prophecy; she shifted the conditions under which prophecy unfolded. She didn’t fight fate; she outmaneuvered it.

She was the variable no one accounted for.

You have been so solidly set in your routine that your neighbor knows it's time to put coffee on because you left for work. You are that predictable.

As a blogger, if you really desire to get read and make a difference, is doing the same thing day after day going to magically transform your station? The tension is building.

A Morrígan Moment is that exact instant you stop doing what the system expects and make a different move on purpose. For bloggers, like us, it’s when you refuse to be just another predictable content machine in the Age of AI.

Tension → SNAP → New Life = Morrígan Moment

That’s the core story arc behind every real breakthrough in the online business.

• Tension: the pressure you feel.
• SNAP: the pattern you break.
• New Life: the new direction that opens up because you finally moved.

You can only go so far before something snaps. But when that snap happens, you have been set free to be you again.

The Tension: Blogging in the Age of AI

Right now, we’re all building in an environment where our content patterns are tracked, modeled, and quietly turned against us.

• Search engines reward safe, familiar formats.
• AI tools can rewrite your post structure in seconds.
• Every niche has a wall of “Top 10 Best ___ (2026)” listicles saying the same thing.

Sadly, this kind of activity is going to get you nowhere fast. The questions have been asked in our forums more than once: How long before Google Indexes our posts? Uh - Never. Your AI-generated posts are no different from the next person's. More tension is applied.

You feel it when:

• You’re writing yet another keyword‑perfect post you don’t care about.
• You’re scared to publish something honest because it’s “off‑brand.”
• You’re following “what works,” but it all feels strangely lifeless.

Can it get any worse? It will unless you SNAP out of it.

The SNAP: When You Refuse to Be Interchangeable

A Morrígan Moment is the pattern break with teeth.

For us, it might look like:

• Publishing a sharp, opinionated piece instead of another safe “how‑to” listicle.
• Deleting 40 thin posts that bring junk traffic and distract from our core messages.
• Walking away from a low‑paying affiliate offer that everyone in your niche promotes.
• Changing who you write for and saying, “This blog is no longer for everyone.”

On the outside, these moments can look small.

On the inside, to the algorithms, they are the SNAP in your behavioral script: you stopped publishing what the algorithms were ignoring and did something that caught them off guard. The same happens in life. You took a workday off, your neighbor didn't make his coffee, and ended up being late for work. Why? Because you broke the pattern he relied upon.

The New Life: A Blog With a Spine

When you follow that SNAP all the way through, your blog starts to feel different:

• You attract fewer random clicks and more of the right readers.
• Your content stops sounding like everyone else’s.
• You build offers and reviews that match your real values, not just search volume.
• You feel less like an SEO operator and more like a creator with a spine.

That’s the New Life part of the Morrígan Moment.

Those were some of my Morrígan Moments. I did not know it at the time. It was an ephany of sorts.

Now that we understand what a Morrigan Moment is, I want this to be added to our daily use.

My Morrígan Moment

I can hear you say, "Damn, that was a Morrígan Moment!" When someone sees you do something unexpected, look at them and say, "You just saw my Morrigan Moment." When you even surprise yourself, a simple "Thanks, Morrigan," works.
