use of subdomains

Today I have to go back to basics and how much I need to follow exactly what Kyle is saying and not follow my own path.

my topic was is so broad that I was going to use subdomains in order to tie it all together because there is so many things to cover when it comes to romance that I feel you need to cover all aspects in order to make it work ..

was thinking of using my main site 3dhart.com with the use of subdomains to cover each piece I write about and from doing further research I realized that this will not work in terms of rankings as each domain or subdomain is considered an individual url and therefore ranked separately ... problem is how to solve this problem

which one topic in this category do I choose... need to make it quick so I can move forward .. category on cheating, building your relationship, saving your relationship, dating site reviews, finding true love and forgiveness... basically it is all about romance, this is what is difficult as I am finding it very difficult to narrow it down to just one key phrase that is search engine friendly in order to help me to accomplish it. Lord help me I am lost. How do I narrow it do, there is so much information and so much to be said on this topic ... that I do need to find the right domain name that I can build on.

Did you get this sorted?
There are MANY romance sites out there that are authority sites, and they just have the one website, not a bunch of sub domains. I use some of them myself, lol - check out 'Catch Him and Keep Him', Rori Raye's 'Have the Relationship You Want' and 'Evan Mark Katz' for just a few examples.

Agreed, what WebBasedUser said is the way to go.

WebBasedUser said what I was gonna say so there ya go. You can build you site into an authority site. Will take longer but you can build a category at a time and focus on the category that you are most passionate about first. Then branch out to another and so on.

You could set up each of the topics as a category for your blog. Then when you write your posts you can then file under the category name. Search engines will pick up both the category (keyword) and the keywords from within the blog post. You then cross link any posts that cover multiple categories. This will then do 2 things - enhance your visitors experience and secondly make you loved by Google. Hope this helps
