Hi Everyone.

Today I want to talk to you about how to find profitable digital product niches using Clickbank. Clickbank is the #1 (in my humble opinion) place to be an affiliate marketer for digital products.

Why?

Because of the hefty 75% commission you get! Seriously, you can take home anywhere from $15-$200 on commissions on one product. So this is my go-to for digital niche products.

Why Such a High Commission?

You get high commissions because they sell downloadable products such as Ebooks and Software. It costs nothing to produce them. There's no shipping involved. As opposed to Amazon's meezly 4% commission!

But how do you find products on there and how do you know if those products will sell?

I'll show you step by step in a minute. But before I delve into finding profitable products, I want you to understand what the term "gravity" means as it relates to Clickbank products.

What's Clickbank Gravity?

In a nutshell, the term "gravity" refers to the amount of sales affiliates have made off a specific product in the last week. So the higher the gravity, the more affiliates have made a sale with that product in the past week.

Which is a great thing because it means the product is a proven seller.

Okay, now that we've got that out of the way, let's head over to Clickbank. In the Clickbank marketplace, you need to pick a category of products. The goal is to find niches and products that have proven themselves to be profitable.

How do you do that?

Fortunately, Clickbank makes it easy. Use the "Filters" function on the left-hand side of the page. See the gravity rating filter? Remember, the higher the gravity, the more affiliate are making sales on that product.

But that also means more competition.

So as a beginner, you should set your gravity filter between 6 and 25. This means that the product is making regular sales, but not so many that the niche would be too competive - as you don't have other affiliates clamoring to make sales too.

Set Your Average Dollar Amount

Next, you want to set the Average dollars per sale to a MINIMUM of $15 so that you make a decent amount of money per sale. Once you've set those filters, use the subcategories of your niche to narrow down the product selection even further.

Don't commit to any products before you do this...

Before you commit to promoting a specific product, head over to the sales page (video sales page or regular sales page) to see if you'd buy the product yourself. If YOU wouldn't buy it, chances are you shouldn't promote it.

Trust your instincts.

Does it Have a Video Sales Letter?

Video sales letters (VSL) convert at a higher rate than written sales letters. VSL also tend to be long (about 35 minutes). But don't let that discourage you. They SELL! Now, as you watch the video, ask yourself these questions:

  • Does the VLS have a strong call to action?
  • Does it offer a discount towards the end?
  • Does it offer Money Back Guarantee?
  • Does it have customer testimonials?
  • Is it well put together
  • Would it stir you to buy the product?

Now What?

So, now that you know how to look for profitable digital products on Clickbank, what should you do? Head on over there and go through the same process I just outlined and look for at least 5-10 different products to promote that fit the criteria.

Make sure to try different subcategories and make sure the products you're promoting MAKE SENSE in relation to what your site is about.

Remember, RELEVANCY is the key to successfully selling products on your website.

I hope this was helpful. If it was, please leave me a comment!

ClickBank is a good reliable source of digital products.

I'm glad it was helpful. Thanks for commenting.

Hi, I am also a member of Clickbank, I also think it's a great affiliate marketing network. Your info was really good and helpful, I will definitely be trying this out.
Thanks
Janet

Thank you.

This is helpful. I have only promoted one cliclbank product so far. No sale yet, but this tells me how to do it properly and see an increase in sales.

Hi Rusell. So glad this is helpful.

This is good stuff. I am currently looking to find a Clickbank product in the relationship market. I agree when you say trust your instincts. Once a product with a very simple sales page (a video with text) was far more attractive in my eyes than the top selling products of the niche. I mailed an offer to my e-mail list and did make some sales. I think if a product is attractive to you it probably is for other people as well.

Thank you. Yes, trust your instincts.

Very interesting, thank you for sharing.

You're welcome.

An eye opener!

Yes. Please do. Great stuff on there.

Hi,
Thank you for your information. I am planning to check out clickbank after my evening meal. I will follow your advice given I like the high commission for digital products. I will be for certain look at these.,
Have a wonderful day!

Hi Lawrence. Thanks for your comment. Let me know how it turns out.

This is a great post. I haven't gotten into the digital side yet but this was outstanding. Got me thinking!!

Thank you.

Thanks for this post. I haven't tried any digital products from CB yet, just physical one that fit in with my current site. I have been thinking of getting into the digital products on my next site.

Do you promote several products on a site within a single niche or do you create a separate site for each or specific products?

On your review page you can promote several products that are related to each other. That's the best way to do it. You can promote individually, but remember, your site is not supposed to look like one big promotion. So keep it to your review pages.

Thanks that what I was leaning toward. My next site will be more digitally focused. My current site, which is a different niche, is more content and physical product driven.

Great idea.
