The Early Bird
For my 'day job,' I work from home. That being said, I normally roll out of bed just before I need to log in for the day.
I work in risk and compliance for a payments processor catering to the food industry. The work isn't exactly thrilling but it isn't hard either. I have quite a bit of downtime between crises and audits.
This leaves quite a bit of time to work on my blog—and is actually how I found my way to Wealthy Affiliate in the first place.
Both Saturday and Sunday, I was up and running by 8 (on my days off) to get working on my site. And this morning, I was up a full 2 hours earlier.
The thing is that I'm excited to pick up where I left off and make incremental progress. I can't tell you the last time I've been this enthused...to work.
By the end of my service-based book design and coaching business in 2019, I didn't want to get out of bed for anything in the world. What a difference!
JournalGenius is coming along nicely. I was able to get connected to Aweber on Saturday and set up my welcome email. Yesterday, I focused on setting up the Instagram account, which allows me to publish daily journaling prompts easily.
I'm not ranking yet but really happy with my progress so far.
I started the Affiliate Bootcamp yesterday since I was bored and ... wow! Since my other site doesn't speak to my target audience for the affiliate program, AffiliateYeti was born late yesterday.
I know splitting my time between two sites is probably a bad idea this early in the game, but I know the earning potential of the affiliate site will give me a quicker return on my investment than the journaling site, which is focused mostly on Amazon affiliate revenue and no/low content books. I have a content plan and just need to stick with it.
Well, time to get back to work. Enjoy the rest of your day!
