Happy Saturday! Website Questions?

Hello Everyone!

So I have been struggling with a question. I am looking to create a lifestyle blog which will consist of 4 niches, fashion, health& fitness, travel and entertainment. A sort of live well on a shoestring budget but as I read and learn more is it antiquated to have a website that has all those tabs? Does it make more sense to separate each into their own webpage and promote each separately? What are your thoughts, experiences?

Hello Myrna, I do not think you would have asked this question if you did not see the magnitude of the tabs you are proposing. Each one is a legitimate niche by itself. If we just look at one, Health and Fitness. Which part of this topic would you be developing and researching? Pre teen, teen years, young adults, Middle Ages, and that is just an example. I do not want to discourage because I think all of them are great niches to explore and all of them can provide you with lots of pages and posts. All that to say I would separate them into their own webpage.

Thank you, yes, the magnitude of each is the concern, is it too much, will it be too much information on one site, granted I would initially need to work and develop each so that they are able to function monetarily and I don't become overwhelmed. But when completed and each page is manageable do I then brand it as one under a single brand? Ugh, am I just causing myself greater confusion???

Myrna go with you first instinct. The main suggestion around here is to start with one website to get your legs wet and then branch out when and if you feel comfortable. All of the sites from what I can see can become monetized. Remember, the KISS principle.

Hello MLeonard - I think it might be an idea to just combine them all under one heading - 'living well on a shoestring' rather than divvie them all up - so it looks more interesting and joined-up.

It'd be interesting to see what others think about this too!
