Questioning
Good afternoon WA!
Lately I have been questioning a lot of things. I have also been trying to make some decisions about my on-line "businesses".
I have 4 websites all together, that, I am finding is more than I can handle. Only 2 of them are actually "working for me". I don't know if I will eventually make any money from it or not. Believe or not, I'm not really concerned about that at the moment.
I'm questioning
- how much time I should be spending on my websites.
- If I should just delete the ones that aren't "working for me"
- IF I should come up with a new "plan"/schedule for working on my website(s)
I make my daily "to do" list. But, they don't go as planned. I spend WAY too much time fighting through the obstacles, and I don't end up getting much accomplished.
Everything else in my life gets behind because I spend so much time trying to build my websites.
Some thoughts that keep going through my head are:
Is your website HELPING anybody? well they all will eventually I think. 1 I KNOW will and already is.
If you get frustrated go do something else. If I did that I wouldn't get any of this done.
I am physically tired from trying to combine both my lives. ( the real world and the on line world)
any suggestions?

cybergrunt, I have 2 websites I think I'm going to concentrate on. 1 is already seeing traffic. (the one I work on the least)! The other one will get traffic eventually.
You said it sister. For someone who is juggling many things in my real life, my advice would be to simplify. I don't have the luxury of coming up with a schedule to work on my website (notice the singular), because I just have to get online and do it when I can do it. Consider yourself lucky to able to have the flexibility of creating your own schedule and having multiple sites!
Above all, DON"T neglect your loved ones in your Real World Life
Hi Sue, I work part-time so I have time to work on my website. But that seems like that's all I am doing.
Having 2 lives would be difficult for anyone. You really only have one life....Do the best you can to blend your goals together.

I am trying Debbie, that's the reason for the post. I need a little help figuring out how to do that
As others have said...simplify and prioritize. Maybe pick the 5 things that are most important to you and eliminate all activities that don't support those things. It is difficult but you are on control...you can do it!
Hi Milda, sometimes it is hard to find a balance between WA and other need to be done stuff. I know I am spending way too much with WA cause I see my other chores building. WA seems like a Goliath right now and me a little David.
I received this message from someone unrelated to WA. That doesn't know about today's blog post.
I think as long as you enjoy it, write when you want to. As long as it never becomes a chore!

Hey Marcia,
Many people suggested to me that when I hit a "brick wall" so to speak to take a break, go for a walk. I was complaining of the same issue that I would get further behind if I took a break.
So what I did was to install an app on my phone called speak to text so as I was walking I could be talking into my phone an article.
Also when I would wake up at night I could also do the same.
Then when at the doctor office I would be reading posts then commenting.
This way I can stay active and not fall behind. Just an idea that works for me.

Good idea, Elaine. That would definitely work for 2 of my websites. (I'm always talking to myself anyways,so why not make it count!). LOL
I can't wait to start using this!
I tried the first app. Didn't like it. In the trash it went. I am now playing with https://goo.gl/search/Evernote
Evernote, Downloadable software
We will see how that goes.

1 website to learn and implement your lessons on, there is so much to learn that you will get distracted with more than 1...
You are right newlive, I implement my lessons on 2 of them.
