Our value at WA Selling ourselves short
Ours can be a condescending society. Do you know that for aspiring marketers we are constantly selling ourselves short. We do this subconsciously.
How much are our endeavors worth in our community? We seek for monetization in our online efforts. Many here have asked open ended questions such as; how much would you like to make in a year?
Some have made it a time stamped goal. How soon can you make x amount? Can you make x amount by Jan 1, 2018? etc.
How many realize you have, without realizing it ,provided a self valuation in the daily threads? "Here is my 2 cents" or "For what it's worth here is..."
I read responses like this about 5 times a week. Based on responses I've seen, one out of 5 respondents answer like this. Since we don't see everyone's responses, out of an estimated 5,000 members corresponding per week, that translates to an estimated 1,000 members per week who sell themselves short.
It's time to reassess our goals and develop a marketing plan to magnify our self worth. If interested here is one sourced by wiki that provides an excellent approach! http://www.wikihow.com/Create-...
Time to get out there and sell em the Brooklyn Bridge fellow members!

Hi Mike great post, and thank you for the reminder it can be so easy to sell our selves short. It can be about getting to that level whereby we are feeling confident in our abilities. The best place to start is with that plan and the next place is to work that plan. thank you for sharing that with us.
This is a great eye opener and definitely good information. I am guilty without having a Marketing plan but will be working on that this week and bookmarking this link. Thanks!
Mike, i agree that a solid plan e.g a marketing plan or as i would call it a "road map" to success is key to follow your goals that are measurable. In the old days i was in the music industry as a producer and on the technical side. I have just recently found my way back to my old roots. To make a long story short, i have met many talented musicians some of which are big Stars today. Their secret to success was simple. Follow your passion with dedication and the money trail will follow. In other words, let the money chase you, not the other way around. Thats just my input.
Here is some origin etymology on the subject Nick! http://www.snopes.com/language/phrases/twocents.asp
