convenience
There are constant overhauls of programs in many areas of Information technology! Microsoft has a campus divided into several research buildings. Each building is like a college in a university.
Some buildings are devoted to web applications. others concentrate on protocol upgrades and architecture.
The twin pillars of hardware design and software upgrading are central to campus layout and there is an evolutionary plan to ensure there is constant rotation of research by building.
Ultimately each evolution concentrates on 1. cheaper, 2. faster and 3. better improvements or solutions to customer needs. The ultimate purpose of this research is shortcutting of existing rules to increase convenience.
All of this dovetails into a complete overarching goal that convenience is designed for! Increase the customer's comfort zone. Never let it die out!
The following is an infographic of these changes in the area of marketing that is near and dear to us
As you can see convenience related change provides solutions for all of us!

The technology around us has brought about this convince and its a thumb up. Great information Mike.
Interesting photo up top. Makes a person wonder why the need of a building in that particular shape - a double cross. :o)
As always, great post - great information Mr Kearns. Thank you for sharing!
Paula, it does allow a lot more greenery and the resulting calmness nature provides. Most likely a most in such a high pressure, stressful work environment.
Mike, up until the pre World War 2 era, the swastika was a very positive symbol. It only takes one action to make something evil.
Oh wow, no I did not know that about the being greener kind of thing Helen. But I do have to admit, it's a bit ... different.
I don't know if Mike is serious but I know I work better in a pleasant surrounding. And I did fairly high pressure stuff. It was so relaxing having lunch in the rose garden. Especially when dealing with urgent policy stuff.
Oh I'm sure! Nothing like having that kind of opportunity during a lunch break. Especially those that are rushed due to time constraints. A sense of peacefulness works for most I think. I know it does me :o).
OK :o) There actually being such a building as described was what I was looking for, hahaha
The way of the world... cheaper, faster, better. A very informative article that reminds me I need to finish my Cadillac Service At Yugo Prices article. Thanks, Jay
