5 months at WA

This week, is 5 months completed here at WA. I feel like I'm finally gaining some momentum. I jointed in August but then didn't do much in September and nothing at all in October.

In December 2018, I met my goal of 8 new posts on my niche site. In January, I have 3 posts completed and posted.

My traffic (based on google analytics) has marginally increased. It's not in triple digits yet but it has been consistently in double digits. I had a comment from someone with a blog in a similar niche; I have no way of knowing if she was a WA member but it wasn't through site comments so I was excited to have the contact. My social media accounts have a few followers; not a lot but progress. I had a sale of something on an Amazon Affiliate link. That is my first Amazon Affiliate sale on this niche site! It's not my first ever but I see it as a big step.

Last night, I completed level 4 of the Online Entrepreneur Certification. That will be done tomorrow. By this time next month, my goal is to be done with level 5.

In January, I also started the Affiliate Bootcamp with another blog and as of today, I have two lessons to go to complete the first level of bootcamp. That site is going to be a slow start for me. I know the online income niche is difficult to break into so I want to begin building authority but I'm not in a rush for it. I'm more focused on my niche site.

I'm also taking advantage of WA hosting for another site. I'm doing A Round of Words in 80 Days and one of the things people do to stay accountable is blog about their progress. shrugs The hosting is there and already paid for so there was no reason not to use it instead of a free wordpress site. I like this specific writing challenge because it lets you choose your own goals. My weekly writing goals, that I now have peer pressure to accomplish, include 2 posts on my niche site and one on my affiliate boot camp site each week. I like the accountability. Ultimately, I'm going to need to write more than that but when I'm consistently meeting goals, I feel more optimistic. I can increase from that point rather than being super overwhelmed trying to do too much at once.

I'm sure someone will tell me that maintaining 3 blogs is too many. I even agree that splitting focus can slow down progress. I have the time to do it if I can find the focus and motivation. I find momentum motivational. It just took me a few slow months to start to find that momentum.
