I haven't been too active lately, and posts are on hold.

The last two months have been tumultuous for me. Then my son and husband said, "pack up. We're going on vacation." we got into the car and drove 1000 km to Alexandroupolis in Greece.

Here is some information.

Alexandroupolis is a city of fifty thousand inhabitants in northeast Greece. It is the capital of the Evros regional unit in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. It is an important port and trade center of this country. Alexandroupolis connects the East with the West, Europe with Asia. This beautiful coastal city, whose trademark is a large lighthouse, is located about 14.5 km west of the Evros delta, 40 km from the border with Turkey, 320 km from Thessaloniki, with which the newly built Egnatia highway connects it, and 750 km from Athens. Eyewear the city, along the coast, there are many small fishing villages such as Makri and Dikela. The proximity of the river Evros, as well as the mountainous hinterland, makes the climate pleasant even in the summer months (average upper temperatures in July and August are around 30 degrees). The proximity to the sea and the beautiful sandy beaches around the city make a vacation in Alexandroupolis very pleasant.

I like this. I charge my batteries and go to work. You have to know when to take a break, or you'll burn out.
