A second chance
My son had move back home, he's still trying to find his way in society. His girlfriend moved to another state. She was pregnant but loss the baby. He was devastated but he's a fighter. I remember the day he came into this world. I holded my child for the first time and the world around me just dissappear. Now he's in his early thirties, he graduated high school at the age of 17 and moved to Alanta, Georgia to start his career. As a parent you can never be as proud of your child being a fighter, not giving up on life. A young respectable man, a heart full of gold, but there are times life gets in the way of your goals. Where you need to come home to refreshing or to find yourself again after been knock down so many times.
Life has a funny way of finding out what you are made of, where you isolate yourself from people to get a clear understanding what's going on and what to do next. Being true to yourself and acknowledge it for what it is and apply effort to move forward is a big accomplishment. Our biggest enemy is ourselves, we don't have to worried about other people criticizing us. We already beat them to the punch. We don't give ourselves enough credit. We are strong individuals but we compare ourselves to other people. Loving and accepting yourself is the best gift you can ever do. Don't waste your time looking or comparing yourself to nobody. You are unique and powerful an every way.

The true measure of a man is
determined by the difficulties he
faced in his life.
You can tell how big a person is

God bless you and God bless him.

This is very true as each one us is unique. Comparing yourself to others is pointless and a waste of energy. I am so sorry to hear of your son's girlfriend's sad loss and certain his fighting spirit will help him through it.
Very true words, Miracle! Life tends to be the yardstick that measures our character and strength!

Hi Miracle ... a well put message ... thank you...
I completely empathise with your son's and his girlfriend's experience. The feeling of devastation is very real.
Here's another way of making your point... the thing about goals is that if we expect them at a particular time, they don't always come to fruition just when we expect them. Focusing on a particular time can lead to major disappointment. But if we really want the goal, we will try again.
Wishing your son and his girlfriend the best in their futures.
:-)
Richard
