Site Visitors Increased At Least 7 Fold... Probably More!
Hey, so it's been a while since my last blog post and I wanted to just check in with a quick update...
My main site has been steadily growing with new pages and the odd blog post here and there. I'm only building the site part-time and very slowly sometimes at that. Hectic work and social lives are a great excuse to not be creating more content, but none-the-less life does get in the way sometimes, annoyingly more than usual this year! I'm not complaining though. :-)
Anyway, I've noticed the on-site comments seem to have increased, but what really got me (after the few sales - around 2-3 per month now and quite consistently!) is that after checking up on my Google Analytics account, I'm now getting in the region of 700 visitors per month! Now, I appreciate this figure is may be nowhere near as high as some people are seeing, but my site started with less than 100 (and probably around 50 per month), so I'm thrilled to know I'm reaching a much bigger audience than when I started.
This is a massive confidence booster for me and will definitely spur me on to keep adding content more frequently. It's a pleasant surprise to check it occasionally to see the number creep up. :-)
I hope this helps others see that even with my little efforts, it all adds up and makes a big difference in the future. I only add bits of content a few times a week and not always a new page or blog post, but sometimes just responding to a comment or elaborating on something. Sometimes I just tweak a page to make sure I'm doing more internal linking to content on my site helping SEO. It all has a cumulative effect on building your audience.
As a famous supermarket in the UK's strap line goes... "Every little helps"!

Hey Mike! Congrats on really taking your site traffic to another level by getting it up to 700 per month. You'll continue to see more consistent sales and revenue as you keep doing what you're doing!
The more content you can publish, the more traffic you will get so at this point it's about scaling your traffic. Engagement via comments means that your visitors are liking what they read enough to reply, and that alone is a big achievement. Increased traffic is is awesome, but increased engagement is even sweeter!
You're on the right track here so keep going! You'll be reporting about 700 clicks a day in no time ;)

I know that you can do it Mike. 700 visitors a day is going to lead to multiple sales on a daily basis and a very nice income stream for you. Keep on publishing, that is the key here.
It's a process... but positive movement taking place... and that's always the first step. Congrats!
