Hello, My Friends…

Hoping to help New Marketers to maximize use of tools and systems they already have, last week I Posted “4 TACTICS TO BUILD YOUR LIST …With Little or No Money”!

Since the idea was NOT original to me, the Post quoted that “Every Successful Online Markets will tell you that if you want to succeed Online you must have a list of your own”. Because it works for me, I affirmed …IT’S TRUE!

It further stated that “It gives you the advantage to advertise anything you want, any time you want, and as often as you want … all FREE”!

“Everybody who owns a list now …at one time started with zero subscribers and, had to learn the art of list building”.

THE TACTICS CITED WERE 4 IN NUMBER:

TACTIC 1:YOUR BLOG!

TACTIC 2:YOUR E-MAIL SIGNATURE LINE.

TACTIC 3:POSTING YOUR URL IN FORUMS AND BLOGS.

TACTIC 4:THE SOCIAL MEDIA.

From many of the ways to build your list, only 4 cited above were discussed …they cost NO additional money. So, they are FREE and really work.

“HERE’S WHAT YOU CAN GET STARTED WITH!

“To get started, you’ll need either a Blog or Landing Page and an Auto-responder. And, you’ll need to write Content for E-mails sent your new subscribers, as they start coming into your auto-responder”.

IF ONE CAN TYPE, ONE CAN BLOG!

…try it, it works! Put a form on it to capture your Opt-Ins and go!Your Auto-Responder can give you an HTML Code [LINK] to paste on your Blog, Website pages and other contacts with your audience. It shows up as a subscriber or Opt-In form. Nothing fancy, hard or bulky …just a simple form that captures your Opt-Ins easily and without much to do or pain!

HOW CAN BUILDING A LIST BE FREE …when the Auto-Responder cost money?

A fair question that came up in the Comments. It indicated that information was lacking to make the Post more beneficial to readers.

Well, the short answer is that the 4 tactics cited on the Post and restated above, are tools WA Members already have or own. Results from using them, whether originally Free or paid for, require no additional cost …FREE. Maximizing use of what the WA member already has was the intention the Post referred to.

THE AUTO-RESPONDER, AN ADDITIONAL THOUGH MODEST COST.

The Monthly Cost of reliable Auto-Responders can vary from $9 to $19, to $29 and on up to over $100. New Marketers generally do not need an Auto-Responder until 60 to 90 days from start, when they begin to accumulate a good LIST of Opt-Ins.The best suggestions from successful marketers is to stay in touch with your new Opt-Ins [E-mail or Call every 3 to 5 days] to gain additional trust, provide added services and even suggest ideas or systems that solve the audiences’ needs.

YES, though modest in most cases, the Auto-Responder is an added business expense. And NO, marketers do NOT have to have it to operate Online Businesses. There’s nothing that prohibits marketers from manually sending E-mail daily.

In our research, we had 3 E-mailers advertised as efficient, manually contact the Audience. The most E-mails sent in 5 hours of intensive work were 27, 25 and 22 in 5 hours. Our guess is that at 74 E-mails per day …a list of 1,000 opt-ins would necessitate 14 days to get a single shot at every Opt-In on the list of 1,000.

We also researched purchasing mail-merge software to do our E-mailing in-house.The cost varied from $200 to $450 depending on how packed with bells and whistles the package would be, with appropriate updates as they come along, at extra cost. We checked out 2 outside Mailing Services but the cost was prohibitive for list of 1,000 to 3,000.

If successful online marketers are correct in that it takes from 5 to 9 contacts for a client to respond to an offer ...it would take 67 days to a complete a manual E-mail campaign. This assumes the campaign would send out each Opt-In 5 to 9 E-mails at intervals no longer than 3 days.

So, the Auto-Responder is an additional Online Business expense. It appears much less expensive than 3 manual E-mailers for 67 days at minimum wage of $10 ph.

Comparatively speaking, purchasing email-merge software was equally disadvantageous. Outsourcing the Mailing Campaign was discounted because the Marketer loses control of the LIST, gets no reliable feedback on who opens the mail, who bounces it and NO ASSURANCE that the list will not be rented out or sold to others [spammed?].

OK, MY WA FRIENDS…

As I said in the previous Post, these tactics work for me. I know they can and will work for you to build your list or add to one you may already have. The Auto-Responder does bring in an added Business Expense, but it does increase results from the use of tools you already have in your arsenal, and it is less costly than others.

The caveat is DO NOT BUY AN AUTO-RESPONDER until you actually need it and its use will pay you dividends in increased results!

Have an Awesome Day…

I have always been confused about how to build a email list. I can build my own Auto-transponder, because I can code. Thanks for the post it has helped me a lot on getting me started on building my own email list. I have not coded anything in a while, but I know can find the code to build my own Auto-Transponder. Thanks for the info and if you would like my comment. Thanks Sruffey

Great information
Thanks

Well Said

Hi Mike. Great info but STOP SHOUTING! lol

This is great information! Thanks!

Hi, Kim! Appreciate your Comment! Lets cross paths on these pages again soon!, Take care my friend!

good info for future use all the best

How can you wait with your opt-in subscriber list, without a double opt-in subscription (where rte subscriber has to confirm his subscription) with an autoresponder. I think writing posts here at WA with advices should be free of doubts.

Thanks, for the comment, Giludi! Always enjoy seeing you on these pages!

Hi, Giludi! You really don't have to keep the "double opt-in" key "ON"! When I know the list I am putting into my Aweber, I shut it off. However, the "warning" from autoresponders is that you "risk" great number of SPAM complaints and/or being 'banned' if you cut it off and recipients complaint of SPAM. Another thing is that responder is primarily to "manage" a list ...meaning mailing to the list frequently! So, writing Posts as in WA is great and not necessarily connected to an Auto-Responder! I do have a Opt-in Aweber form on my Sites and Blog so that I can automatically capture any respondent to my auto-responder and get included in all my future mails, unless I specifically "exclude" that list from the mailing/Broadcast as most auto-responders call your mailing. Always glad to hear from you and hope this comment adds to the content referred to! Take care my friend!

something I will need to know a bit down the road thank you

That's what I read that someone else posted. It might not be worth having an auto responder until you have a significant email list. I'm planning to do some changes to my site soon. Then I will probably add an auto responder.

Thanks, Starcreator, for your comment here. Personally, I use Aweber and GVO. There are iContact, GetResponse, Listwire and Captera. You can Google "auto-responders" and get 2 pages of names and descriptions. One source I suggest, though have NO relationships with is www.autorespondersreview.com. It gives you a 'review' or what it thinks of all known auto-responders. My affiliate at Aweber is at:www.aweber.com. My affiliate at GVO is at www.gogvo.com. The cost generally is based on the unlimited use of the Auto-Responder, storage and managing a list of up to 5,000. Any number above 5,000 generally comes at $10 to $20 more. Thanks, my friend. Hope you'll run into a good A-R via my affiliates Aweber or GVO and specially www.autorespondersreview.com. Let cross paths in this pages again soon, my friend!

Thank you, that makes sense. I have been looking for an AutoResponder but now I wont rush into it. Do you know which is the best buy to start off with?
