The Power of Positive Thinking!

Hey everyone, let's talk about the power of positive thinking! I know, I know - it sounds cheesy and cliché, but hear me out.

I used to be a somewhat negative person. I would always focus on the bad things that happened in my day, rather than the good. I complained about everything and anything, and would often find myself in a bad mood for no reason.

It wasn't until I started actively practicing positivity that I realized just how much of an impact my thoughts had on my quality of life.

It's true - positivity is a choice

And it's not always an easy one to make, either. But if you make the effort to train your mind to see the good in everything, you'll be amazed at how much happier you feel.

One thing that helped me was starting a gratitude journal.

Every night before bed, I write down three things that happened that day that I'm grateful for. Some days it's something big, while other days it’s something small.

The key is consistency in gratitude — this is what makes the difference.

When you become the master of your emotions, you can always determine your own state of mind without outside influence.

Taking responsibility for your thoughts, actions and feelings can put everything in your life in order. Sometimes you can't control the events in your life, but you can control how you react to them.

Once you empower yourself to change the things you can control, that's the power of positive thinking.

Positivity is a choice

The quality of your thoughts always determines the quality of your life.

You have to train your body to feel positive as well. I know people that say they think positively but nothing ever changes and I ask them how they feel when thinking the positive thought. If there's doubt or feeling negative, then it's like having your foot on the gas and the brake at the same time.

Hello Mike, I feel that there can always be a reminder to think on a more optimistic side of life, I never get tired of hearing peoples move towards a positive outlook.

I really believe we are in fact a product of our thinking patterns and it takes courage to see the advantage of thinking more positive.

I have been delt some horrific life events which could easily turn the best of us to bitterness, but I remain steadfast that our feelings are ignited with either bad feelings or good feelings and we are the only one that can control this.

Mike, like you, I was also a negative person. I was angry with the world with everything that had happened to me.

Then one day I reached a turning point where I was so tired of losing all my friends and families because of my grumpy mood and outlook on Life

And it's a happy 😊 moment that I have never looked back
Being positive is indeed the best choice we all can make

I’ve traveled that road and know what you mean. I knew I needed to make a change, and for me I refused to stay on the negative to darker side of things — and refused any invitation that would bring me there. My life and enjoyment have been much better — and my outlook is much, much better as well!

You are right -- positivity is a choice. I, too, kept a gratitude journal for a while. It's interesting to go back and read it now and then. Now, when I go to bed, I try to think of all the things I'm grateful for that happened during the day. I am sure it does some good.

Though controlling how you react to things is not always easy, it's a good technique to practice, as it can turn that negativity around.
