Siterubix versus Dot com

Hope everyone is safe and well during this pandemic.Just a few weeks with WA and I got thinking about this siterubix.com versus the regular dot com. Is there any difference in using the siterubix provided by WA as compared to using the original Dot com. Advantages-Diadvantages? The process should be the same I would assume in using key words to help with being indexed regardless if its dot org, dot net or whatever is being used,

Curious to hear what other members have to say, good , bad , could be better Thanks for your time and have a great day

Thank you for asking this question. I see Geoffrey has answered

The siterubix are free, so if you don't want the expense then it's the best route. However, if you want to own the site and know it's yours, then you would go . com. I don't think there is s right or wrong way, just s couple of options.

Very interesting question.
The process of doing a siterubix and dot com website is the same. Both can use WordPress, tools etc the same.

The difference comes in these ways.
1) Site rubix websites are subdomains. each of us iin WA has at least one sub domain. That being said we can use our subdomain to address any topic we choose. Though subdomains are considered independent websites - there is less SEO strength given to them because they are still part of the main domain.

Ideally to get the most SEO juice for a subdomain, the subdomain should be a topic related to the main domain. That is it supports the main domains topic.

2) If you have a dot com named solar lighting. The keyword focus is all about solar lighting. So the strength of SEO is stronger. You could have a subdomain of solar lighting such as manuals which would support the topic if the main domain.

3) Domain names are much easier to remember. People are not accustomed to using a domain URL.

Does that you you any ideas or help?

You're welcome :)

Hi - your free siterubix.com is known as a subdomain. That means it is not your property, it belongs to WA. So, if you ever leave WA, you can't take it with you, and at some point, it would be deleted.

You can't have a domain-specific email address for it.

Some affiliate programs will not accept subdomains, and you definitely can't use Google AdSense on it.

Visitors may not be familiar with siterubix.com and not trust it, as they are used to seeing .com sites.
