Have you removed yourself from Analytics reporting?

I'm sorry to say that unless you already have a following somewhere (social media, email subscribers), you're highly unlikely to receive many (if any) visitors to your site for the first few months.

If you have Google Analytics installed you can check where your visitors are coming from.

When you log into Google Analytics, scroll down to the bar graph, and click on "Acquisitions Report".

Then on the next page you will see blue bars next to each traffic source.

So, "Organic", "Referral", "Direct", "Social".

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that all your traffic is coming from Direct.

So, no real information. Although you can click on "Country" or "City".

If this is your country or city is the same as yours, then the visitors are YOU.

As I say, it is extremely unlikely that a brand new website (without a previous following) will receive ANY traffic this early.

Obviously if you are using WA for comments/feedback, these will count as visitors, although they are likley to go to individual articles rather than the homepage.

Sorry.

Just ask if none of this makes sense.

Thank you for answering!
I see most of the traffic is direct.
50% From Usa
30% Finland (where I live)
20% (China)

It makes sense I'm just wondering why my site gets 50 visitors in 2 days. There must be a reason for that.

Hmm...

Okay, let's break it down.

So, you have 48 sessions.

Let's say that's 24 from the US, 15 from Finland (You), and 9 from China.

However, these are SESSIONS, not individual users.

So, one user could easily account for 20, 30, 100, etc. sessions.

Have a check for how many USERS you've had.

The other thing for direct traffic is if you've shared your website url with someone, but they visit it by simply pasting the url into their browser.

Have you requested feedback on the platform?

Someone may have come back to visit your site at a later date.

Shared with a friend.

Then again, there is always bot traffic.

If you've requested indexing of your site/individual articles it could be Google/Bing bots.

It could even be "useless" bot traffic.

It's unusual to get bot traffic this early, but it can happen.

If it is bot traffic, you may get a day or two of visitors, and then they'll just disappear.

I wouldn't overly concern yourself with it at this early stage.

Check back again in a few days to see if everything's returned to "normal".
