Hi, I was informed that my content was indexed by Google a few days ago, so I checked and it was on about page 5 or 6. I wanted to check again where it ranked as I've had some
Its called the Google Dance and is pretty normal. It will bounce around and eventually settle
Nothing to worry about - as long as it is indexed by google it will eventually climb up the ranks.
Just keep on adding content to the site
Thank you for replying! Ha the google dance - thanks for reassuring me. The QSR was 3 so I was kind of hoping that I would be on the first page :D. I saw your blog where you said that you were on the first page of google after indexing, and using a low QSR keyword; that piqued my interest in where my site was I guess.
Yes I shall keep plugging away and adding content :)
Thanks,
Michelle
QSR is an indication for the number of sites using that exact keyword but there are other keywords that would rank for it too and likewise your site will also rank for other keywords in time.
To rank high as fast as I did you need to also post the link on Google Plus and then head over to Google Webmaster tools (console I think it is called these days) and get google to "fetch as Google" under the "crawl" tab by posting it in there too.
Then head over to Bing webmaster tools and do the same for Bing.
Hope that helps
Sometimes this happens. Your page will appear then disappear. I see in Jaaxy there is low competition for the keyword so as long as you have followed the guidelines you should re-appear again.
(Keyword in the title and once in the first or second paragraph). Best thing is to keep writing more content.
Hi Rob, thanks for replying. Yes that's why I was a bit perplexed, as it has a QSR of 3, and it was there but then disappeared! I will keep writing content as you suggest.
The other worrying thing is that the give and take thread for posting comments on each others' websites comes up when I search for my website on google. Is this normal too?
Thanks,
Michelle

Why has my content disappeared from google?

Thanks for asking, Michelle. I had the same issue come up. I was actually indexed at #4 on page 1 one day, then the next I couldn't find it anywhere. Very frustrating and demoralizing. What a hard come down.
Google Dance. That's a term that I will remember.

Hi Candice yes Google Dance is hilarious! Well at least I know I’m not the only one - hope your page comes back to page 1!
Michelle :)
