Reassessing and Rearranging, Way to Progress

Hello guys,

there´s a saying, I might not quote it literally but it goes like this: "Sometimes to move forward you need to take a step back at first." And this is so true.

In my last blog I mentioned how many projects I´d like to get done and that I am running a physical business in services. Well, that´s nice but I was kind of losing focus a lot. Add to that other things of "everyday life" and I was not getting anything done. This was an important realisation for me and I decided to take a step back and think things through, during the Christmas and some free time I had during the Holidays.

I was becoming really overwhelmed with all the information and "work on this for a while, then move to this, and a next thing and a next thing" and this just led to confusion. However, now I am kind of back on track.

I realised I was going with no really "specific" goal. I somehow forgot or did not write down "exactly" why I am trying to do what I was trying to do. After this realisation I came to a conclusion to alter several things.

First of all, I want to focus on just one thing at a time, not 15 of them. My focus for now is gonna be to finish the courses here at WA.

I do not really care that much if my first niche website is gonna make any money, I just want to learn. I want to learn how to do marketing the right way. I narrowed down my skills I am gonna focus on to marketing and sales. I want to learn marketing at first.

However, doing just one thing at a time would be a huge illusion. We somehow need to make money until our effort pays off and I accomplish this through "linear income" right now, through a part time job. Anyway, my next goal is gonna be to move to the USA, Canada or England this year so I can increase my income until I start making money online.

Once I learn the "formula" of how things work I think it´ll become "easy" to make money. Let me know what you think. ;)

Michael

Juggling between "what pays" and "what will pay better one day" is the hardest balancing act of all.

Sounds like you have worked it out. It is very easy to fall into the trap of doing too much and only make small steps everywhere.

Well done. Your new focus will be much better for you in the long run.

Thank you Steve for you reply,

there´s a beautiful quote, I think it was by Abraham Lincoln: "If only we could look at the seeds of time and tell which one will grow."

I think we often make some decisions based on the knowledge we have at that time but when we learn some more, sometimes it´s necessary to adapt what we do, to that knowledge.

This is why it´s often helpful to have a mentor to direct us in the right direction. For now I only have "mentors" through books and youtube videos.

However, money can be made, but as Napoleon Hill stated in the game of life, you are playing against time, which won´t tolerate indecision.

You may find a few more mentors here at WA. We should at all times re-visit our decisions of the past and re-consider them if need be. that is a part of life.
