"Cloudy...with a Chance of success"
This "take" off of a familiar movie title is how I would characterize my first 3 weeks with Wealthy Affiliate. On Sept. 13, 2013, I became a free member of WA not knowing what a blog was and how I could ever consider this as my full-time job. When people asked me what I am doing (for a job), I didn't know how to respond...I still don't! When I told my wife I was going to be a "blogger", she laughed and said, "yes, you can do that has a hobby, but you need to get a job!" I have been interviewing for jobs, but no offers have been made to me...so I continue my training in WA. (Isn't this why most of us connected with WA in the first place...so we don't have to convince employers of our value?) I became a Premium member on Sept. 18 and began my Certification trainings. I have found that getting that first website up and going to be the biggest challenge so far. Things are still "a little cloudy" when it comes to understanding how all of this is going to benefit our family's financial condition, but my words to those who are walking in my shoes is just to TRUST that the progressive training we are going through is going to give us the "big picture" soon. When I started the training, I wrote that my goal in 3 months was to make $300/day and have two websites up and running. At this point, I don't doubt that this is possible, but my focus is on making sure I am setting up the site correctly, connecting to Google properly, and providing interesting material to read. I have to believe that Kyle and Carson have intentionally set this program up for us to succeed. I press onward waiting for the clouds to be moved and the sun to shine in!

Joe...I'm guessing you are still working as you stated in your profile, so you probably still have an income. If you can afford the $47 per month as an added expense, you won't regret it. You can't find a college program with a tuition payment as small. The training is well worth the cost. If you find you like developing websites, you can do that for clients as well. Many opportunities available. We hope you stick with it.

Hi there Joe, it was probably 5 months before I went premium. I had already built my website using all of the free tools here and had gotten quite a bit of help doing it. The point is that everything that Kyle, Carson, Rich, Nathaniell, Bo, Beverley and everyone else here say that it is... it truly is! And... it is even that much better when you decide to go premium. I took several months scraping up cash wherever I could find it because I wanted to go with the annual premium. I sold stuff on eBay and took online surveys and did whatever it took and have never, ever regretted it. If your desire is network marketing or affiliate marketing, you won't regret it either! There's nothing wrong with adjusting your goals! Lots of us came into the online business arena not really knowing WHAT to expect. Now that you have a better idea of what you are doing and what to do next, it will get easier to make and meet concrete goals.
When I was in China and unhappy with my job, I sometimes found myself unmotivated to work on my sites. The idea that I would have to continue in that line of work (teaching English as a second language) was a huge motivator to dedicate many hours per day to my business.
I hope you are able to find some kind of employment you are happy with in the near future, but until then, now is the best time to dedicate yourself to learning the skills taught here at WA.
Oh, and $300 per day is totally possible! It will probably take longer than 3 months to get there, but one time on a flight from California to China I made over $500 is sales. Imagine that!
We have set this program up to help others out and there are many successful people here as a result. We don't take credit for others success though because it is the result of their hard work and dedication to their business.
Those that take action and are persistent are always those that are the most successful and from what you have said here, I have no doubts that you are going to achieve your goals and then some.
Most people see the figure of $9K per month ($300 per day) and thing this is a crazy number. It isn't and it is completely possible within any niche. There are billions of people online buying stuff every day and need helping with pretty much everything you can image.
It only takes a few of these people per day to reach this goal and once you get the formula down, it is just a matter of scaling your business to see your revenue increase.
I started just over a week ago. I have also adjusted my goals. 20 referrals this year would be great. Just keep going. It consumes a lot of my time but I think it will be worth it in the end. I wish you the best and much success.

Yes I know how you feel, keep at it I do believe this is the best place and most supportive community to take it step by step, I am very much moving forward slowly too. Good luck, you will get there, think what an opportunity you have doing something constructive in a tough time. Good luck to you.
