Why do I talk to Myself? Who is that voice?

Seven magic words can make a world of difference.

We say more to ourselves than to others during the course of a day. At night while we are waiting to fall asleep, what is going through your mind? You're replaying things that happened during the day. For the most part we are replaying events. If only I'd said this, or done that.

Or replaying an event with someone else in a way we would have wanted things to turn out better, for ourself.

Mostly we are being hard on ourselves in a negative way. Usually our last thoughts before sleep is what our subconscious is feed and works on during the night. And that is what shapes us in the morning.

Waking feeling great and energized, or dull and dreary. Dreading another day.

It doesn't have to be that way!

We can control what we think about, and how we can interpret these thoughts. We can control our own self talk. But it takes practice. Discipline to stop those unwanted thoughts dead in their tracks. The same as with learning anything new. Practice practice practice. Retraining how we talk to ourselves.

Doesn't this beating ourselves up give us some sort of justification to how we have been poorly treated. And to make us feel better. But doing so in a negative way. And sapping our energy at the same time.

Well here's the trick.

Our next day starts at night after we fall asleep. So make your last thought or words, good ones. On waking in the morning, make your thought and words good ones.

"Today I'm going to love my life."

These are the seven magic words. If you don't like the way things are, try them out. You have nothing to loose. But have much to gain instead.

This may seem silly and childish to do. But here's the thing. Nobody else will know what you are saying to yourself. But they will notice, pick up on something different about you. And they'll be wondering why you have a smile on your face. It is a way of dis-arming others in a favorable way. And you'll notice how you are feeling, better.
