Using HTML To Display An Affiliate Banner - And Open Link in Separate Tab

So I wanted to create a post on my blog site where I could display my affiliate banners and allow users to click on the banner and make it so it would open in a separate window.

I already use the Site Origin Plugins to write dynamic posts that allow me to easily add HTML Script, buttons, and text to a page.

I am by no means an HTML expert, but I know some basics. So having a tool to help me incorporate some basic HTML into my page is great!

The plugins is use are:

These plugins add a new Tab to the Post Editor called Page Builder:

When you switch to Page Builder mode, it adds so many options to build a really dynamic page.

When you select the "Add Widget" button, you will get this popup with many different options to add different content to your post.

I haven't used most of these yet, but I do use the SiteOrigin Editor:

This is where you can type your basic text content and easily add color, border, and a different link color to your text.

I also use the Custom HTML:

Here, you can add scripts from various other pages like a banner ad from an affiliate page or embed a Youtube Video using the script from Youtube.

You can mix any of the widgets on a single page and easily drag-drop the widgets where you want them to show on your page:

Ok. Now let's break down the HTML Code that I used to show a banner and open it in a new tab:

It's very easy to modify the HTML script that you'll copy and paste from your affiliate banner ads from your affiliate sites.

Hope this has helped.

I have dome slides on my website and I want to change the color and size of the text displayed on them. Should I use this plugin for that purpose?

You definitely could. Put that particular text in the HTML widget and add the HTML code for Font Size and Color.

Here's a good guide for getting the code for a particular color: https://html-color-codes.info/

This site is also really helpful for getting code tips: https://www.w3schools.com/html/html_paragraphs.asp
