I lied to myself

I think we all suffer from this.

I was so excited when I first started. The encouragement was awesome and I was determined to succeed... but then I trickled off and my enthusiasm deflated.

Part of it was the realization that the more I learned the more I learned how much I don't know. It doesn't help that I'm not a good writer so I've resisted the lessons where Kyle says "now go write a post/page bla bla.." knowing he says that is exactly how traffic is generated and traffic converts into sales. Part of it is that I'm blessed with a good job and I really don't need extra income. That said, I wouldn't mind having a part time job ;)

I've not been completely stagnant, since I've been learning outside of WA, but I didn't even meet my once a week promise to myself (that's where I lied) and here I am almost at a year since I joined, wondering if I should pay the next year.

Most of the time I come to WA is just to update plugins and themes on the two sites I started to build: The one I used to practice that was supposed to be a charity site and the one for my daughter's business.

Happy to say, my daughter's art business is picking up (www.jacklyndianedesigns.com), no thanks to me and my services to build her a web store. I can barely keep up re-posting her Instagram posts (@jacklyndiane.designs) into the Pinterest board I created (JacklynDianeDesigns). She has moved her site out of WA so I can't find a reason to justify the membership for now.

Thanks in advance if you are interested in art and home decor and go follow her.

To add to this blog, in case anyone reads it.
She has chosen Squarespace to host her website. It was very easy to create and I think it requires less maintenance.
I moved the DNS hosting of the site from WA to Namecheap since that is where I bought my domains. She is paying $12 a month for the hosting with 24/7 support. It's been a week and so far it is working great.

I'm not sure how much it will cost you to outsource. I would recommend Upwork to find a freelancer though.

Hi Mel, thanks for replying. I rather know from someone who is outsourcing already. I'm in the same boat with a freelancer not knowing if the services he/she provides are legit or required.
