Is the premium plan really worth it?
Being regularly on the live chat, I too often see similar questions to this one
- Cancel my membership
- Can I jump a payment and continue next month?
- 50$/month is too expensive for my budget
- I can't afford to pay that much
- Why is it so expensive?
And I could continue on and on for long. :-(
Just a short and PARTIAL calculation :
You get 25 free site hostings when you go premium. Then you get 25 more web sites hosted in link to a domain name. Forget about the free siterubix sites, JUST with the sites hosted with your domain names, considering that a NORMAL quality hosting costs average 10$/month, AND MORE, right there you have for 250$/month worth of hosting in the little 50$/month value of the premium plan.
Then, as @OnMyOwnTerms mentions in his great blog Penny Wise and Dollar Foolish?, there's the SSL which depending on where you buy can vary from +/- 60$/year up to even more than the 125$/year cost he mentioned. I personally have seen some close to 200$!!!!
But last but NOT LEAST, the SECURITY of being hosted by WA. I know! I have myself been hacked more than one time in my WP sites until I decided to give up and shut down everything that was in WP if I couldn't put it back into something more secure.
THAT SECURITY IS PRICELESS!!!!
I could go on and on with MANY more values you get INCLUDED in the premium plan that you quite probably don't get included elsewhere! :-(
My conclusion?
- Give up if you wish
- Let go of your dreams if you wish
- Let others influence you if you wish
- Shop around if you wish
- Do whatever you want if you wish
MY WISH is that you realize that there is MUCH MORE VALUE to the premium plan than what you can think of at the very moment.
YOU decide where you cut, please do so WISELY ;-)

The cost of WA is less than what most people pay for their Starbucks per month. It is all a matter of priorities!
My words, I just joined because I almost immediately saw the value which is given to us. Oh, and I cannot afford it.
But I also cannot afford not to be premium.
Great post. We can understand why these comments/questions continually come up but you really hit the nail on the head.

THAT IS WHY I WENT TO THE PREMIUM PLAIN. SO FAR I AM STILL A LITTLE CONFUSED BUT I HAVE BUILT MY FIRST WEB SITE. SO IF YOU GIVE UP YOU WILL NEVER KNOW WHAT YOUR MISSING.

Until I joined WA, I always had problems with my WP sites being unsecure , hacked and shut down by hosting company like Blue Host & Green Geeks.
Not anymore with WA.
One thing to point out to those considering premium. Don't do it unless you are SURE that you can keep up your payments. Once you go premium there is no returning to a free membership.
You can drop out and return to premium whenever you wish though. Just my 2 cents.
I agree with you, and would ALSO add to your addon that way too often, people prefer to keep their "little luxuries" and cut on bigger amounts rather than cut the luxuries that if you add them together, they EASILY total MORE than the little $50/month that the plan costs.
That's why I linked also to @OnMyOwnTerms' blog pennywise and dollar foolish. ;-)
I mean -- we have to find something we like first. Then we figure out how to adapt it into a business.
I partially agree, some people come here not knowing what to chose... and once they chose something they like THEN discover that they can promote WA, I've seen more than once some of them just switch to promoting WA and putting their original niche aside.
Money talks to them ;-)

The premium plan is worth the money!
It is not always easy for the people to understand the value of the Premium plan.
I think this is the main reason. Otherways, they would not cancel the membership.
The next reason is that, in my opinion, those people who are pulling out simply cannot consume the membership as they should.
The Premium membership is great, but if you don't consume it, what is the point?
Lastly, to be an affiliate means selling other's products or services. In a nutshell, affiliation is about selling. Using the Premium membership to sell Wealthy Affiliate is a way to accelerate things and to learn how to do it.
