Everything Comes To Those Who Wait
Firstly apologies for it being a while since I blogged here at WA. No excuses but I have been very busy with my main website. To build a website that works, does take time and whilst I am an impatient person, when I want something, I will work towards it relentlessly.
And that is the essence of what I have been busy doing. I have nearly 150 posts on my make money online website and all new posts are generally indexed by Google within the hour and yet I had 4 what I deem to be important posts that I published quite early in my online career that were not yet indexed.
Over the last few months I have been updating those posts with what I know now corrections and yet with each change and a new submission to Google Fetch I still could not get them indexed.
Every couple of weeks I made updates, checked that all was in order and submitted again to Google Fetch. Still nothing until today when 3 of the 4 finally got indexed.
Total relief as I thought I was flogging a dead horse but no.... good things do come to those that wait and also apply new learnings and I guess being persistent. Personally I like to think that Google just got fed up with me submitting the same posts again and again and just gave in.
I know that’s not the case but it makes me giggle all the same. For those of you struggling to get posts indexed.... do not give in. Go back to old posts and renew them with the extra things you have learnt since writing them and re submit to Google again and again if you have to.
So for now 3 down and 1 to go..... it’s an important post and a great keyword so I will not cave to Google’s unknown reasonings.
Wishing all of you every success with your ventures
With Grace and Gratitude
Karen

Hi Karen,
That is really good to hear! I have seen some of my old ones suddenly come back to life after falling off the first 10 pages of Google results long ago. It is always interesting when that happens. I have not gone back and updated the old ones in a very long time and some are "dormant" in my mind since they rank so low now. I really need to do some work on those and revive them!
I am glad you are continuing to move ever forward! Congrats and thanks for pointing out this important piece of the ranking puzzle!

Thanks for reading Jessica and yes even if your posts are indexed they still need work to get them ranked and then to keep them ranked
Hi Karen, great job you have worked really hard to have 150 posts completed. It is funny how Google works, I have waited as long as a week, but I started a new website a couple weeks ago. When I started I had 3 posts ready to go so I posted them, I don't think the ink was dry and everything was indexed. Google definitely has a mind of it's own.

Way to go, Karen. Thanks for that information. I was not aware you could edit and resubmit old articles for indexing.
Thanks for the heads up.
Awesomeness!
Mojalefa.
No apologies needed. Your website and business should be a higher priority.
Good advice on renewing old posts. Updating/adding internal links is a must.
Absolutely and yes are websites and business should be a priority but do wish I had more time to help out around in the community more
