The Story

Long long time ago there lived a rabbit in a jungle. The rabbit was very proud. A turtle lived nearby. The rabbit always bragged about his speed and agility. Since they lived in the same area, the rabbit being proud as he was, always teased the turtle. The rabbit in his usual self loved taunting and mocking the turtle.

One day, he challenged the turtle to defeat him in a race. The turtle fed up with the rabbit teasing him to no end agreed to the challenge.

The day has come. they would start at the edge of the woods and will end on the mouth of the river, a good while from where they were even for a rabbit.

The rabbit showing with overflowing confidence told the turtle to go ahead. The turtle started as fast as he could. But in the eyes of the rabbit, it is too painfully slow and reckoned it will take him hours to reach the finish line.

After a while the rabbit started to run and sped away in a few minutes he saw the turtle and laughed him off as the he passed the turtle by. After sometime, the rabbit looked back and could not even saw a dot of the turtle in the horizon. He looked around and saw an inviting spot. He leaned his back on the trunk of the tree, sitting on the soft green grass. He realized, he could relax for a while and enjoy the breeze and the beautiful scenery of the place. The rabbit thought, there was no way the turtle could reach him anytime soon. In no time the rabbit fell asleep.

Meanwhile, the turtle consistently strived running as fast as he could,. Soon enough, he saw the rabbit taking a nap under a leafy tree. The turtle did not stop but continued to run away to the finish line.

It was only after a long while, the rabbit woke up and a bit disoriented did not know why he was there. Then suddenly remembered he had a race to finish. He looked all around and still he couldn't see even the shadow of the turtle. While he was running he couldn't still see the turtle until he arrived at the finish line and saw the turtle enjoying the clear water of the river.

Moral Lesson

We should never underestimate anyone based on their appearance and ability. In this story the rabbit has underestimated the turtle and was careless enough to fall asleep. . Because of this, the turtle was able to pass him up and even reached the finished line first.

The winners are not to the swift but to those who have the passion, perseverance and patience to take the journey one day at a time consistently.

Another lesson is what some of us would say - "slow but sure" achieves success.

Another moral lesson of the story, the effort of the turtle can be likened to our endeavor to build our own online business. Some members that patiently persevere no matter how slow may achieve their goals sooner or later.

The attitude of the rabbit is like some peoplle who are distracted by petty issues in life thereby slowed down from their journey towards their online business.

Indeed a great attitude is required in creating our success in life including our dream for a lucrative online business even how slow we do things for as long we are consistent and focused, we willstill achieve it!

Btw, have a great week, Jerry!

You are right...if we want to be the rabbit, we'd better keep running. Otherwise, slow and steady will get us there.

Hi Fran. Thanks.

The thing about the story is both have the potential for success. It is the attitude that separates the winners from the loser. To understand it early on ill hopefully make every one of us in this platform winners in our own right. πŸ”₯πŸ”†βœ¨πŸ†πŸ”‘βœ¨πŸ’²

Slow and steady wins the race..grin

While we believe that it doesn't mean we be slow, all the way. We always have room for improvement to grow and to be more efficient, like faster than we once before. πŸŸ’πŸ”΅πŸ”΄πŸŸ‘βœ¨πŸ’²
