I confess... My blog has not been a priority in my life for the past 6 months or so... zero new blog posts since last March... nada! rien! OUCH! More than 6 months! Until today...
Yes, I was busy on my FB page. Yes, I was busy on my Youtube channel. Yes, I was busy in the "real" world. But my blog was like a desert... Not because I did not have ideas... just because I had other priorities...

But today was different. Last week, I promised 2 friends to give them the link to the book that I am currently reading and which I believe can help them successfully overcome the challenges they are currently facing in their life. My affiliate marketer's side naturally wanted to publish an article about it on my blog with an affiliate link to the book on Amazon and a nice 1500-word review of the book. But my "busy-with-other-priorities" part did not have the time for it...
So what did I do? I decided to break all the blogging and affiliate marketing rules I had learned so far... and published the smallest blog post ever (at least in MY history as a blogger)... a mere 192 words... 😲 with 2 links to the book on Amazon and 1 link to my Youtube channel.
Yup! That goes against everything I have learned about affiliate marketing and blogging so far... BUT I believe "rules" are here to help us, as an individual and as a group. When they don't, I just break them. What do I have to lose? It allowed me to publish an article after 6 months of silence AND help at least 2 people. So, I don't know about you, but for me, that's already good. 😅
