I have only just realised we now have access to over 1,000,000 images through WA, fantastic :-) I have just edited a post in site editor and added a couple of images, clicked o

To use the images from SiteContent editor, you can only do this for new posts, not for posts you already published to WordPress.

That doesn't take away that you can make use of the same free images, the images are coming from Pixabay, Pexels and a couple of other sources.

On those websites you can find the same images and download them for own usage.

It would be a good idea however to resize them further and compress them using something like TinyPNG before uploading and adding to your post within WordPress.

Hi Steven, thanks for your reply and advice,I kind of expected that as they hadn`t transferred across to my website. I will have a look at this TinyPNG sounds good.
Thanks again

A lot of members have this problem and I always advise that they save whatever images they want to their desktop and upload to wordpress.

Perhaps another member will have a better answer.

Hi Robert,
I will do that in future from now on, I just thought I would have been able to edit the post in site content and added the picture from there.
Thanks again
Maurice

I believe this only applies to new posts.
Much better doing it my way anyway.
I have published a blog on Images and give a lot of links to sites where you can download free images. Robert-A
