Google Search & Microsoft Bing Changes

That is not the half of what is changing! This is just a copy of what my SEO and I were discussing as far as Google Business SEO is concerned! Since launching their local business profile features in 2004, Google has changed and rebranded the platform a handful of times. The most recent restructuring happened in November 2021, when they switched from Google My Business to the new Google Business Profile.
One of the biggest changes that Google has announced is the retiring of the Google My Business mobile app. Although the official ending date for the Google My Business app still has not been announced, Google has decided to remove the app completely in 2022.
While the mobile app is being phased out, the existing Google My Business web experience will remain available, but it will be rebranded as Business Profile Manager. The Business Profile Manager will focus on large businesses with multiple locations, while smaller or single-location firms are urged to manage their profile directly through Google Search and Maps on desktop-not the mobile application.
Talk about a cold shoulder to the small business, or is it? Think about, in the time of the MOST JOB WALKOUTS in history- everyone is becoming self-employed, and what better way to encourage small businesses to grow, offering a challenge to get to the next level!
Now-it will not only be a location tool, but also a Status of Achievement for a new small business to be able access the new version of the platform-Technology is driving (literally) the marketplace, we crave for the newest and hottest versions of Any type software or technology- Google has found a way to organically grow small business into bigger business, just based on this -continually pushing Americas small businesses to always be expanding their business and services, to get to the next level! Call it, tough love!
Sound farfetched? WA is so successful based on this very concept with the goals to strive for ambassador levels, badges and by creating a PASSIVE aggressive method, pushing us to get to the next step, and before you know it, your business grows organically!
Google isn't the only power house that is changing the rules, Bing and Microsoft is following a change of their own, the term "bundle Software" ads will no longer be widely accepted for admission of campaigns. Basically, you read the fine print, they are pin pointing SaS/SaaS products, as far as, if you are using funnels, surely most of you are by now, when offering your software as a service, the upsells are based on "upgradeable aspects of the software" these will no longer be allowed. Software sold AS ALL IN ONE FULLY LOADED at the time of purchase, they are still allowed to campaign with Microsoft/Bing resources.

Ah, there always seems to be constant change, Mary! Once one gets to where they think they should be, the playing field keeps getting re-set!

Batter up! I am going to spend more time on here-just reading my bio shows how green I was- just a couple months ago!

There you go, Mary! That's better! Now here's the first pitch! ⚾

Thanks for the info.

I find myself continually in catch-up mode with the rate that technology and tools change. It is a nuisance. But, I'm grateful for people like yourself who can highlight some of these changes.

Yes- and it's a spiral. You start here, then 4 hours later, where the time went, who knows, and you find you merely scratched the surface!
