Google Authorship notes:
This is one lesson that I had to go over a few time because of all the clicking back and forth I kinda got lost so here is my outline.
Set up an account in Google plus with an image of your face, if you haven’t already
Open up two tabs one for Google + and one for your website
Open your Google+ account
Click on the other tab
Go to your wordpress site and log in to the admin area
Click Users-all users- click edit on the user that you want to add authorship to
Go to Google+ tab
Click on your Image
View profile
At the top in the address bar
Copy the url up to /plus
Go to your website and scroll down to Google+
Paste the Google+ url in the box(should end with a string of numbers then / )
Scroll down
Click Update Profile
Go back to Google+
Click on your Image
View Profile
About
Scroll down to Contributor to
Edit
Add custom link
Go to your wordpress site and copy your url from the address bar up to .com/
Go back to Google+
Paste url to the custom link url box (should end with .com/ )
Name the link (like your website name)
Set to current contributor
Save
That’s it now test it.
Test with Rich Snippet Tool
Go to this link below (copy and paste to your address bar)
www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets
Copy and paste your url to the box and click Preview
You should see your image next to your site.
Hope this helps
