Progress Update so far - Aug2015

This short blog post is just an update of what I've learnt so far since joining Wealthy Affiliate, what I have enjoyed the most, the challenges I have faced, and what I plan to do in the next quarter!
So a bit of background, I joined WA a month ago after realising that I needed to learn and increase my skills and knowledge about online business, and learn how to build an online "asset" that would eventually (hopefully) become a stream of passive income. As I consistently work my way through the training, everyday I am learning something new and getting a lot of "a-ha" moments as I slowly begin to connect the dots.
I can't even begin to state all the new things that I have learnt since joining WA.
I thought I knew a bit about social media and how to use it, but just nope - I am still a newbie. For example, managing social media using hootsuite or buffer. I tried to using these programs in the past, but having this community to ask my "silly" questions and follow super easy step by step guide on effective ways to use these social media tools and when to use it - priceless.
My confidence in using wordpress has also increased tenfold. I am no longer guessing what means what, and just fumbling around. The course training actually shares the basic parts of wordpress you need to familiarise yourself with and yup, it all makes sense - even to me!
The biggest thing I have enjoyed the most - the courses and lessons that Kyle literally "holds your hand" every step of the way, and the best thing about it you can repeat and repeat the videos and info - just so easy to use.
I also love the live chat and support here. Got a question, it gets answered by either support or the very active members going through the same journey as me.
Challenges I have faced is really a mind set thing. I sometimes want to pass through the training and get things done as fast as possible and then of course, I end up missing some important info. So even if you think you "know" something, just watch the videos and read the info as it all part of the bigger picture to running a functional (profitable) website.
What I plan for the next quarter is to finish through the courses and then tackle the classrooms, there is just so much information on here and so many things to implement on my website.
So far so good! The new skills and confidence I have with wordpress and online business has been priceless and I am really enjoying it all! Thanks to everyone who has helped me and of course Kyle and Carson!

It is a process but they have made it pretty easy with the step by step instruction. I'm still relatively new, but I feel confident with the training that I am getting and my website is coming together. One action step at a time. Thanks for sharing your progress. It is always inspirational to read other people's journey.
