I am sorry for writing this and displaying my frustration, but it is the truth.

For all of you who have found great success in affiliate marketing...hats off to you.

However, I believe that the majority of us are still struggling to find success. Success means different things to different people.

However, I do believe that the number one common goal regarding 'success' when it comes to Affiliate Marketing and our websites here at WA is MONEY. An income of some kind is what we all want to achieve, correct?

After nearly two years of designing, building and managing two main websites...I have not found success here. I have not even averages $1,000 a month in revenue. I have made some money, but not nearly enough to pay my bills.

YES, before you think anything....I have followed the training and videos down pat. I have gone over the training 3 times from top to bottom and followed every single detail closely.

Its NOT about the training. WA does a fantastic job at training and making easy-to-understand intructions. A 12 year old could design and build an affiliate website based on WA's terrific training.

The problem, I believe, is that the 'ship has sailed' when it comes to affiliate marketing.

Back during the time that Wealthy Affiliate.com launched, it was a totally different atmosphere. This was more than 10 years ago. This was when affiliate marketing was 'hot' and new to the online world of making money from home.

Those people who were lucky enough to find WA 10 years ago are probably easily making 6 figures today. But, those people are far and few between. We have no idea how many people like that exist at WA...because WA wont say.

I can predict that it is only a small handfull.

The problem again is that there is so many people trying to do affiliate marketing that on any given niche or subject there are over 3 million...that is 3,000,000 other competing websites that are trying to get a slot in the first 50 website links on a google search engine request.

How can you compete against 3 million other websites trying to do the same exact thing you are. How can you get ranked high when they are using the same SEO strategies that you are using.

Its fun and easy to design, build and create an awesome affiliate marketing websites. That is the easy part. The hard part is getting enough traffic to your website that enough Users click on your ads or use your Amazon links to make you any kind of decent income.

That is hard to accomplish, if not impossible these days. I am sorry but this is the truth.

After two years, I have learned something important that might help you if you are just starting out. Actually I have learned many things, but here are the top ideas.

1) Treat your website like a real business start-up. Don't go in blind. Write a full business plan..you can find good templates online for free to use.

2) Plan for a 5 year start up.

3) YOU NEED CAPITAL! They say here that you dont need any money to start an affiliate website. All you have to do is pay their Premium membership fees (est. $400) a year.

You will need to spend money to make money. This means if you want real solid traffic you need to pay for Google Search engine ads and other social media ads like Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook. Each ad is not that expensive, but it ads up over time because you need to run ads 24 / 7 if you want traffic.

Keep in mind that this is NOT buying traffic. That is a bad idea and never works. its a scam.

This is simply purchasing ads and marketing your site like any other business does.

Without putting up Ads you basically do not stand a chance of succeeding at Affiliate Marketing. You will never have much of an income even after 2 years of hard work unless you are the luckiest man/ woman on the planet.

Sorry, but I seem to be the only one speaking the truth around here. I am sure someone will report me because they dont like what I am saying. But, rather I should say that I am speaking my opinion about this. Take it or leave it.

It is great to be positive and I have been for two years. But, after so much time and hard work, this is my conclusion. I have written over 300 good quality articles between two main sites and two different niches. I did my best and maybe that was not enoough for this business.

I do hope and pray that you do much better than I have. If you are doing great and making $2,000 NET every month consistently, then please do tell. Let us know how you are doing it and what you are doing and help us.

Otherwise, I have been spending most of my time working on my Drop Shipping online store. I have already had 50TIMES better success even during the first month.

I picked a niche, trained myself and signed up for a Shopify account. People around here will bad mouth drop shipping etc. Some will say the products all come from China and take too long to arrive. This COULD be the case if you do not do your homework and you do not do it right.

However, there are plenty of products that come from the US and are shipped from US and arrive within a few days just like Amazon ships.

I have found my niche in dropshipping, but even moreso in original products, custom designs. Meaning that I go to an app and I design merchandise with my own sayings, and logos and graphics. They then get placed all neat and dandy on my online store and when people purchase them, the POD - print on demand company produces the merchandise and ships it directly to my customer.

NO INVENTORY NEEDED. That is what is so great about it. I use a POD company in the US and ships from US so ALL orders arrive at my customers house within 2-3 days.

Ive already sold a lot in the first 2 months. I am sticking with this!

I will leave my WA sites up because I already pre-paid. One of them is more charity helping people so that I will keep and continue to do knowing that it barely collects enough revenue to pay for itself.
