I tried to get the pro version of the WP smush plugin but it's not working because the Curl extention is not present.
Anyone ever had this problem before or how can I enable

You'll need to contact site support. To enable curl extension you need full access to the server so as we have shared hosting it's impossible for us to do it independently *even though it's easy*
Send a ticket to site support they usually respond very quickly
