Week 7: Never Quit

After three weeks of dealing with work-related issues and not having the time to focus on my site, I am finally ready to get back at it. In case you don't remember, or didn't read my previous post, I had office turmoil the last couple of weeks resulting in a coworker walking out on her job. This left me to pick up the slack and reorganize things in the office so we can get back to running smoothly (or close to it).

My initial goal was to get to 15 published posts by the end of the month. At the time of writing, I am sitting at 8 with 6 days to go. I have 6 posts in drafts, so all I need to do is clean them up, illustrate, add affiliate links, and publish. Meanwhile, I'm working on my next review post. My first review post has been the top page visited on my site since it launched, which is encouraging.

Traffic is slow and publishing has been slow, which has led to a bit of discouragement. I have now gotten over that and am pursuing my goals. I have gotten a few clicks from affiliate links, but only a single sale. But do you know what that sale tells me? This can work. It may not be fast, and I'm definitely not Scrooge McDuck swimming in a vault full of cash, but it is a sign of things to come if I do not quit.

If you are reading this and are discouraged, let me encourage you to keep trying. Every success story has trials, but the trials don't define you. They shape you. They sharpen you. They make you into who you need to become. As I was going through all the stuff at work, a friend said to me, "The challenges we face in life can make us bitter, or they can make us better." The choice is up to us.

Never quit.

Hi Jesse,
I loved reading your piece about being away and coming back because that's exactly where I am right now. The tough thing for me is the WA website has changed a lot. The good thing for me is the changes are awesome! I love the AI feature. Combine that with the encouragement I'm getting from you guys on Live Chat, I'm excited about my future blooming business as a Wealthy Affiliate Marketing Success!

Life can certainly get in the way at times Jesse.... that's life!

The most important thing is just do what we can when we can, keep on learning and moving forward and never give up! :-)

Hello Jesse,

It is great you are keeping up the persistence.

Congrats on a sale :)

Kind regards
Erica

Hi Matthew,

Nailed it. I have a few mantras that I remember.

This is a journey, enjoy the ride
You can't fix what you can't measure
There is a lot to learn
There are a lot of moving parts
