Can I please offer you my .02 about something? I see all this stuff about gizmos that find "hidden new niches" blah blah blah.

**NEWS FLASH** The best niches to market to are right under your nose. Think about for a minute with me won't you?

Turn on the TV/Radio...what do you see? Prime examples of companies marketing to hungry prospects of their product service. For instance, I see infomercials for older folks who want access to "the fountain of youth". I hear ads for courses that teach parents how to get their unruly kids in line. I see ads for men who have problems with intimacy.

What about the conversations you have or overhear during the day? How about that friend you know who is trying to avoid a divorce...but just isn't sure how. Or the other friend who is always complaining about how he/she can't buy any nice stuff because his/her credit stinks.

Do you catch my drift? Find out what makes the people involved in these niches tick. Find out what thoughts continue on a recurring basis through their minds. Then figure out what they are buying and SELL it to them...in your own little way that adds value and makes you stand out from the madison avenue fancy pants marketing crowd.

You don't have to have the flashiest website...you just have to be able to relate to them and offer them what they want.

well said... relate to your audience and offer them what they want that is the key right there. There are no "magic" niche, you can make money in any niche. Pick something you are passionate about, find out what they need or want and give it to them!
