Realizations

So earlier tonight, I was in here and I saw a notification that someone had commented on something that I had commented on. I don't remember exactly what he said, but he said 4 words in particular that stuck out to me. Just 4 simple magic words that made it all come together for me. "I like to read." That's it. And I found my niche. The ironic part? I was gonna do this idea anyway, just as a vlog on youtube. So why not do it and try to get some money out of it.

So here's the idea I've had for a while. My local library, like most, has a "New Releases" section. So what I'm planning on doing is, at least once a month, go in and, basically blindfolded, grab a book at random. Read it, and review it. That's how I'm gonna work my content up. Book reviews.

Then, once I get enough views to get an affiliation, sell the books. That lead me to my second realization. I don't need to market massively expensive things to make money. What's gonna be easier to sell to people? 100 $20 books, or 100 $1000 TVs? The answer is obvious. And because I can, potentially, make more sales, it means more income.

I spent the last 3 or 4 days trying to work out what my niche was going to be and how I was going to get content out of it when just reading one comment, one simple comment, was the bolt of lightning that my head needed. I'm so ready to get started now that I know what it is I'm going to do. Do I expect to get rich off of book reviews? No. But you cannot know until you try :-)

I hope all of you find your niche as easily as I found mine, even if it took a while!

Hi maschan congrats on finding you niche and best wishes to you

An excellent idea for a niche, I too am doing a similar niche for one of my websites. My only comment might be to broaden the niche slightly. Book reviews itself is way too broad to keep people coming back again and again. But business books reviews, fantasy/sci-fi book reviews etc etc etc... Just my thoughts on it, I mean don't get me wrong you could have multiple book niche blogs and have them all feeding into each other.

I get ya for sure, I have so many interest that it can be overwheming because one really needs to get one business built up and running then move on and go after that next dream.

Keep at it bud.
