Google Rankings. iPad vs. Desk Top.

When i search my keywords in google on my iPad, I'm at the top of page 1. When I do the same on my desk top, I'm at the top of page 3. Has anyone else noticed this? If so, any idea as to why?

There's no such thing as fixed rank, "personalisation" (being logged in to Google, etc.) and "localisation" (what your IP address is, etc.) make a huge difference. You should always use an Incognito Tab in Chrome to check roughly where you're ranking. :) Rich.

It's also worth checking that you're using the "right" search engine location, ie. if you want to check with a country specific version of Google, type /ncr after the domain name, ie. http://www.google.com/ncr or http://www.google.co.uk/ncr etc. Rich.
