Day 4 - Progress Report
Day 4 is coming to an end and I think my mind is about to blow!
I thought I found inspiration to create topics to write about my niche but that flopped. My goal is to just keep writing based on keywords I've found. Ideally I want to do at least 3-4 articles per week.
I watched the 21-minute ranking live webinar and found it a little conflicting with the teachings of WA.
Basically, WA are saying we should be writing 800 minimum word articles but realistically 1,000+ words. The webinar example looked like it was 500 words article but got ranked instantly number 1.
I understand there's lots of factors involved in this etc but I could not help notice the contradiction and perhaps there is more than just writing articles.
Maybe the articles just need to be super in depth and the word count really does not matter? Hmm, if I'm wrong please leave a comment and let me know.
Staying Away From Distractions
I think in one of my last blogs at WA I mentioned my main focus is traffic rather than money. I've been really close to starting the certification 3 part of the course but keep stopping my self as this goes into more detail about monetizing. If I start thinking about monetizing the site, I think my focus will shift. I want to start seeing some traffic coming before I do this so I'll keeps on writing blogs for now.
So far Google has ranked my home page, blog page, one image, and two blogs. Here is what the stats look like so far:
I feel these analytic are from WA community but I'll keep an eye on them.
The interesting thing is before I fixed my self on just traffic rather than money, I did place a few affiliate links in one or two of my blog posts which has results in the 47 clicks within a few days. Again, I'm unsure if this is the WA community or real potential customers.
It's difficult to fully comprehend the little analytic I'm getting at the moment. As soon as I start getting some firmer stats I'll be able to point myself in a better direction and hopefully start to understand what potential customers are after.

I wrote a little tutorial guide on how I used my laziness to come up with a solution of practically automating the social media posting time consumption issue.
Next Step
My next step is to keeps on churning out articles. I think once I get to 30 articles, I'll starts the next bit of the course. Until then, 23 more to go... WOOO

You are doing well Marty, keep up the good work. There are different ways to view the monetization of your website. One is to complete course three and complete the associated tasks and let things happen as they will. At the same time you continue to add quality content that will attract traffic and ranking in the social engines. The second is the one you should avoid and that is expecting converts in the first three months without attracting traffic. This is the one that will frustrate you and demoralize you.
