Christmas burnout is upon us once again
Christmas is upon us once again and this is a special time for all us. This bring family and friends together and the goodwill towards men. Things are crazy, hectic, and chaotic time. But it is a beautiful time too.
With the lights,decorations and presents to wrap. it is a wonderful time but then you have all the parties, dinners, and get together before Christmas, The here come Christmas you have to plan dinner and then you have family and friends come over so it is a busy time for every one.
We plan for a beautiful time for Christmas and we just want every one to be happy and enjoy themselves. But on I have seen on TV that it is the women who make Christmas a beautful time for the family and friends. I don't want to offend anyone that is not my intention I am saying that we have to do this together.
This is a family affair holiday that we need to get our partners involved too. Get the help you need to don't have to do this by yourself any more. Get the kids involved in trimming the tree and get your partner or spouse to do some of the running around for you. And even get the family involved in wrapping the gifts.
And not their gifts let them wrap the gifts for other people. That way it is not all on you. I understand and realize that you may enjoy doing this but you will burnout and won't be able to enjoy the holiday at all.
We just want everything to be perfect but it still can be with some help. It doesn't have to be all on one person anymore. Doing the Christmas holiday is a biggest holiday of the year best New Years Day you can use the help to get things done.
I just want to see you all enjoy the holiday with your family and friends. And have a safe Christmas and New Year. This is a special time for all us because we are bringing in another year and that is a blessing. But we also have to remember what Christmas is all about that is the birth of Christ.
This is a time to relax and enjoy yourself with the parties, dinners, with family and friends. Again I can't stress this enough have safe and happy holiday.

I like your point about all chipping in to help, so it is not so stressful on one person.
For the last couple of years, I have been with family on Thanksgiving and alone at Christmas. Actually, it is much easier, since there are no children to miss all the fun and trimmings. I can socialize as much as I want...don't have to miss a single party. I can accept an invitation for dinner so I don't have to cook it. I have a little pre-lighted mini tree and a small box of decorations. It does not take me long to get ready for Christmas at my house. It was wonderful when I could go all-out for the holiday, but now that I don't, I don't really miss it. Input from an older person.
I am glad that you like my post. I know that this none of my business but you shouldn't be alone for Christmas it is a time for family and friends to be together on a wonderful holiday.
Sometimes it is easier when you are single but don't you miss out on alot of things thought. I just don't like for people to be with people because this is the hardest Holiday anyway.
I am getting through it though slow but short.

Well, that just changed. Just got an email from my son in Juneau, and they want me to come there. Usually they go to Hawaii at Christmas to be with my daughter-in-law's mother, but this year I guess they will have to do with me...lol...
Not sure if I'll fly or take the ferry. Waiting for input from them.
That is awesome you will be spending the Christmas holiday with your son and daughter-in-law that is so wonderful. You have a great time and enjoy yourself.

Yes, it does help because it is not just on one person. Even though we women make the holiday special but it is not to say that men can't make the holiday special they just need to be taught how to do it.
They can help by doing some of the running around for you. That will save some time there. You can get the kids to help you wrap some of the gifts not there but maybe your gift and dad's gift and even their grandparent's gifts.
That way you are not wrapping all the gifts. There is so much that you all do as a family to split up the duties. That is how I would do it.

I personally don't think anyone should spend Christmas alone but there are some stubborn people that won't budge and then they spend the holiday alone.

Yes, special time of the year. Holly jolly but also hectic.
It is a hectic, chaotic, wonderful time of the year. The thing of it is that it is a simple holiday but we make it complicated and we all need to go back to the simple ways again,
