What To Do When Progress Feels Slow

We’ve all been there. You’re doing the work. Writing the blog posts. Sharing on social. Tweaking your site. Maybe even running ads like I’ve been doing lately. But the results? They're trickling in much slower than you hoped.
Let me be honest: I’m in that space right now.
I haven’t had any referrals yet, and while my traffic has been growing steadily (you can read about it in my latest update post here), I still catch myself wondering, “Shouldn’t things be moving faster by now?” or even when is it going to happen.
But then I remind myself of something important:
Consistency compounds, even when the results feel quiet.

When I first started this site, I wasn’t even sure if I’d keep up. I’ve got a baby, a 10-year-old, pets, a husband, a business to run, and honestly, life happens. But here I am, a month later, still posting, still testing, still learning. And that matters.
Here’s what I’ve found helps during the slow seasons:
- Celebrate what’s working – My social reach is improving. My content is ranking (hello, page 1 for a few posts AND getting AI recognition which I will share later). My message is resonating with the people I actually want to help.
- Use the quiet to refine – I’ve been revisiting old posts, tightening headlines, and preparing for what I know will come once momentum builds. I've even found a few holes that might be the connection points that need tweaking.
- Connect, don’t compare – It’s easy to scroll through Bootcamp updates and feel behind. But everyone’s timeline is different. We're ALL focused on building something sustainable, not chasing a quick win.
- Show up anyway – Even when you're tired. Even when you feel discouraged. Even when the numbers don’t say what we may want yet. Because showing up is what separates hobby from hustle.
So if you’re in a slower season too, I want you to know it’s okay. You're not behind. And as long as we keep showing up, we’re building something great and that takes time.
Let’s keep going. One blog post. One helpful piece of content. One connection at a time.
Sometimes you just don't know or can't imagine who you are inspiring. This is often quiet and sometimes even you're greatest admirers never tell you.
So if you want, share in the comments how things are going for you right now? What are you celebrating this week, big or small?
