FSA Pinterest & Site Updates

Hey there,

I know I missed June's update because its a busy month for me and I had some catching up to do after coming back from visiting my family in May.

Anyway, there's not really much difference between June's update and July's (today's) update...well at least as far as stats go. Building out the brand is starting to take shape but we'll get into the diffent details below so you can see the full picture.

Pinterest Stats Update

In my last official update, two months ago in May (you can check it out here), my stats took a steep plummet. Even though my engagement and other indicator stats were, and are, showing growth, my outbound clicks are at an all time low.

Since I did a 60 day on the last update, I'll do a 60 day for today's update. Between the 30 day and 60 day its generally the same pattern even though the numbers change of course.

Here's the 30 day as of this morning when I'm typing this out.

Tbh, I was getting really frustrated because I want to get website traffic from Pinterest yet that's not happening. I'm also frustrated because it was starting off working so well but then what happened?? I don't know

So like any good internet creator person these days, I asked my AI Assistant for help. Good'ol ChatGPT.

ChatGPT's Interpretation of My Pinterest Steps

According to ChatGPT my stats are quite promising. In general, it said that my stats are showing that Pinterest likes my pins so its a matter of consistency at this point.

Pinterest can take several months to kick in on pins which is why a lot of people quit right before they really find success.

It also said that since I've been working on establishing my brand, which is really coming together at this point, its also learning about my brand and who to serve it to.

It gave me some pin suggestions and such which I am currently emplementing into my strategy and working on.

Website Traffic Update

My website traffic has not improved much as far as stats go but I'm sort of seeing the same trend where my audience is shifting.

I'm getting picked up by AI Assistant and Google more than anything else right now.

I was getting frustrated with this as well because I have really good session times for my articles that go over a minute and into 2-3+ minutes on some articles.

This is just one screenshot of many I've taken over the time period in mention. Everytime a new article shows up in the top 10 articles results, I immediately optimize it.

Over the past 90 days my site traffic has dropped. I feel ok about it because I think the evidence is pointing to the algorithms are learning my brand and that makes a big difference.

The brand has taken shape in different forms over the past few months but I think I've finally found something that I feel good about. Helping families enjoy vacations and also how to make it special with the small and with the big things.

So there you have it. FSH update for July 2026. I'm actually excited about the future for my brand.

So whichever phase you're in on your journey just keep going. There's a lot to learn and do.
