Would you do this?
Every day in different parts of the world brave persons go out on a limb and do the extraordinary to save the lives of others.
Most times this is done on impulse and we praise the heroes but given a similar situation would you do this?
Here is a true story of two men who did the extraordinary. I think they should be recognized nationally.
It all began when heavy rains caused flooding of an entire district so that houses were affected. A father and a son realized the predicament they were in when the flood waters rushed into their homes. They were also witnessing mother nature slaughtering the hens and rabbits that were in their pens.
The son who was a farmer tried to save some of his cattle by placing them on top of the roof of his house. But this venture seemed to be going to nought as dirty water were rising by the minute.
His elderly father who was of a heavy statute was worried and frighten.
He later said that he had never experienced this having lived in the area for thirty three years. The son had to exhibit bravery and with quick thinking climbed into the roof structure of their house and both held on for dear life!
He had his cellphone on him so the son made a call to the neighbour.
Some neighbours realized that these men were in the house so they made an alarm seeing the raising tide of the water.
Two Samaritans swam to the house and gave them a simple instruction.
They followed.
Then each took one through the murky waters , but not without struggle, however with expert knowledge they manage to come ashore with them.
The emotionally elderly man was in tears. He thanked the men who saved both he and his son.
Would you do this? the answer is naturally yes. But with these quick decisions come the use of our experience. Sometimes the good intention is not all.
If we are not wise we can become the victim of the situation.
Today be good to your neighbours but use wisdom

Sometimes people do things where they surprise themselves with, you act upon a situation, unless the situation is there, you'll never know how you would react. For the same, you freeze and can't do a single step anymore, even if you want it.
