Teddy Bear, Chris Scott - Thank you!
Recently I was looking at changing my theme here at WA. I wasn’t particularly happy with the one I had chosen when I started this adventure. But being new, what do I know about what is or isn’t a good theme. After all, I am a “newbie” at this game. I had read blogs here about others changing their themes and loving it. I was told at one point I could look at a “preview” of what my site would look like on another theme. That was a good idea but I still didn’t really know what theme would be best for me. Looking up competitor niche websites on-line I did find one I liked, and my site looked good (to me) when I did a preview of my site on this new theme. Definitely better than the one I currently had. My theme and the other were both WordPress Free themes.
Then one evening I ran across a blog written here on WA by Chris Scott aka “Teddy Bear”, titled, “Just a theme, or theme of themes”. His description and information could not have come at a better time for me. I’m getting too old to screw around with developing a secure financial future for me and my family, and from what I gathered from this blog, I needed to make a serious decision here. So, I wrote to Teddy Bear and started asking questions. From that first communication with him, my future has never looked more exciting. As I would learn in the coming days, Chris Scott is probably one of the most giving, big hearted people I have ever run across. Indeed the title “Teddy Bear” is a great description of this man.
From the very beginning when he asked me if I would like his help in changing over to this new theme, he has dedicated his own time for my benefit. Many hours of helping me get this new theme rolling. Many phone calls too, and the best part in my mind was his offer to Skype with me on the computer. I’m sure most of you know what Skype is but if you don’t, it allows you to instant message and also have live video chat over the internet on your computer if you have the camera built in or attached. This was the missing link for a guy like me who struggles with typing and wording. This was the very thing I had wished was possible so many times when I had challenges with lessons or website building.
Beyond all that, I had met someone who truly seemed to want to help me succeed. Paying it forward!!!
Fast forward to yesterday morning…
After a couple of days of the new site being in “construction mode” on-line while the switch from the old theme to the new was made, it was now ready to go live. Yesterday morning I received a phone call from Teddy Bear saying he wanted to check some things on the site speed and other things on the site. This guy ended up working on my site many hours that day, as he had done before when we first began this fun. He had thought he could improve on it and so he went to work. All this out of his will to help me out, and out of the kindness of his heart. He had no reason to do any of this otherwise. There has only been one other person I have met here that was willing to invest in someone else, just for the sake of helping. Without the help from Teddy Bear on this new theme I would not have the new site I have today.
I wanted to share the outcome of his efforts solely done for me, just because he is who he is. I have to say, this guy knows his stuff like no one I have seen before. Here is the site report after his hard work...
If you have the opportunity to hook up with Teddy Bear or at the least ask his for advise, I would highly recommend you do so. This loving guy is just that. He is the real deal!!!!Pay it forward!
I hope you are all fulfilling your dreams!

I can relate to the anguish of changing themes. What a giving heart Chris has but then again he is the epitome of what WA stands for...and then some. Is your new and improved site listed on your profile page?
