Thank You WA Friends!
This post will be a lot shorter than my last and there'll be no gory pictures of blood sucking leeches feeding on my finger either! :)
I just want to say a HUGE thank you for the overwhelming response and support I received since letting you know about my little adventure with leeches.
Just for the record, adding the word "leeches" to your title can definitely make a post go viral, although it's best you have a real story to go with the title too. :)
It has literally taken me days to reply to all the comments. Each one of them was important and very much appreciated. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Of course, the amazing response did not come as a surprise. Warm, responsive, caring, compassionate, and helpful, are all words that come to mind when I think about WA people.
It's the many wonderful people here at WA that make it as special and as exceptional a place as it is. Thank you everybody again for your kind words, good wishes, eHugs and love. Long may we all continue to demonstrate that the WA way is the best way.
It's already Friday afternoon down under so wishing you all a great weekend ahead.

Ah, just reading the original blog about your accident. Very sorry to hear this, and much more thankful that you are on the road to recovery. I am learning about leeches for the first time, and what a remarkable little creatures they are, with incredible power of survival themselves, with their natural antibiotics and blood thinners. I am in awe of THE CREATOR of all things. Another reason why we have to respect animals and NOT KILL them unnecessarily. The earth belongs to all of us, and we need each other sort of. Your story is a wonderful testimony.
Hi Lanu
To right about being in awe of creation! No surprises there though. Perfection is all around us when we open our eyes and look.
Thank you so much for your kind words and good wishes.

Hi Mark,
It's Friday morning here and thank you for thanking the community. I strongly believe there are better days ahead. Let's keep the love shining and happy weekend bro.
Thank you Enstine!
I very much like the idea of keeping the love shining. :)
My weekend has been just wonderful. Hope yours has been too my friend.

I am glad it all worked out for you, Mark. I can sympathize with losing the use of a hand for a while. A few years ago, I tore the ulnar collateral ligament in my right thumb. This required corrective surgery followed by bandages for 2 weeks followed by a full cast up to my elbow for 6 more weeks. Being right-handed, I quickly learned how important the use of my hand is in everyday life.
Thank you Glen!
Yes, I know exactly how you felt with the injury you had there. My left hand is having to work a whole lot harder at the moment, and I have to say it's doing a great job but I do miss my right hand :)

Well Mark, like you said, "the response didn't come as a surprise" from the people at WA. For many it was the thrill of hearing from you again after a hiatus and we jumped at the chance to connect with you again.
Now that you've started bonding with strange creatures start thinking about putting together a post about your budding relationship with that other creature, the Dragon. That should be fun! :)
Take care,
Brian
Hey Brian,
Was really terrific to connect with everyone again, even if it was around a gory story, but then horror stories are always popular. :)
That's a great idea for a post Brian. I'll have to think of a clever title. I like, "How to tame your Dragon' however that would infringe on the movie copyrights. Bah! :)
